Intent of Technical Specification for Biomass Pellets Procurements for
Bidding Document No CS-0011-112A(1)-9:
The intent of this technical specification is the procurement of agro residue based biomass
pellets for various NTPC PLANTS for power generation through biomass co-firing in
pulverized coal fired units with the objective to reduce carbon emission of coal fired power
plant and simultaneously reducing air pollution by discouraging stubble burning.
