Package: Balance Work for Ventilation System Package

Salient Technical Features

1.0 The broad scope of works under ventilation system package include engineering

, manufacture, testing at works, delivery and storage at site, erection, testing and

commissioning of all ventilation equipments & associated instrumentation for

non-air conditioned areas of main power house, ESP building and other auxiliary

buildings.

2.0 Brief Description of Ventilation System:

2.1 Main Power House:

Each 250 MW unit would be provided with 4 nos. of metallic construction air

washer units (AWUs) each of capacity 1,50,000 m

/hr. along with supply air

centrifugal fan with motor, pump with motor, instruments, piping and other

accessories. Two (2) nos. of AWU shall be located in B-C bay at 27.0 M while

other two (2) shall be located outside A-row at 8.5 M. These air washer units

shall supply cooled air to TG building by means of GSS/AI ducting,

grills/dampers, etc. Roof Extractors (RE) fans would be provided at roof of TG

hall to exhaust hot air.

Major items pertaining to Air washer Units including centrifugal fan, pump,

motors, piping, valves, etc. and partial ducts were already supplied and available

at site to be used by the bidder for this package. However, complete Fabrication

and Erection of Air washer Units along with ducting, etc. is in bidder scope of

work.

2.2 ESP Control Room Building:

To cater to the ventilation requirements of non- air conditioned areas (switchgear

room, cable galleries, etc.) of ESP building, one (1) no. of unitary air filtration

(UAF) unit of capacity 65,000 m

/hr. would be provided along with supply air

centrifugal fan & motor, pump with motor, instruments, piping and other

accessories for each unit. Cooled air shall be supplied to various non-A/C areas

by means of GSS/AI ducting, grills/diffusers for each unit.

Major items pertaining to UAF Units including centrifugal fan, pump, motors,

piping, valves, etc. and partial ducts were already supplied and available at site

to be used by the bidder for this package. However, complete Fabrication and

Erection of UAF Units along with ducting, etc. is in bidder scope of work.

2.3 Supply air fans/exhaust air fans/ roof extractor fans with drive motors shall be

provided for miscellaneous areas such as pump houses, MCC rooms, battery

rooms, cable galleries, toilets, etc. in main power house, service building and

auxiliary building like canteen, CHP and O&M workshop, Permanent store, fuel
