1. SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES
“Salient Technical Features of the equipment / systems / services covered in NIT
No.40087579 dated 10/07/2018, Bidding Document No. CS- 9549-364B-9 are
mentioned below. These Salient Technical features are mentioned only to facilitate the
prospective bidders to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and
the bidder shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical
features/specification of equipment/system/services covered in the Bidding Documents.
Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/specification of
equipment/systems /services, contained in the Bidding Documents shall be final and
binding”.
LOCATION & APPROACH
NTPC Limited intends to develop Permanent Township for Darlipalli Super Thermal
Power Project Stage-I (2x800MW) at Darlipalli. The project is located in Sundargad
district. Nearby airport of Ranchi, Raipur & Bhubnaeshwar is at a distance of 220, 300 &
330 km respectively.
BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK OF TOWNSHIP PACKAGE
The brief scope of work under this package shall include the following facilities
(Residential & Non-Residential buildings, All works including Civil, Electrification, lifts,
piping, fire fighting etc.).

5. CONSTRUCTION WATER AND CONSTRUCTION POWER & STAFF/LABOUR
COLONY
1.0 The contractor shall arrange for construction water from underground/local
sources. All borings, pipe lines, pumps, water tankers, underground storage tank,
overground storage tank, etc, whatsoever required for taking the water from the
underground source to the site of work shall be provided / erected / constructed /
maintained by the contractor at his own cost.
2.0 The Contractor shall not be entitled to any compensation on account of the
expenditure incurred in arranging the construction water.
3.0 Contractor shall make the arrangement for construction power on his own cost.
However, NTPC may provide the Construction power as per the site availability,
but the Contractor is not entitled for any compensation on account of the quality
& availability of power from NTPC.
4.0 The contractor shall make his own arrangement for construction/ rented
premises for labour / staff colony.

NOTES :
a) These requirements and capacity of the equipment are indicative
only and not exhaustive and deployment of the equipment,
machinery and labour shall be suitably augmented to achieve the
timely completion of the work as per the program and directions of
the engineer, without any additional cost to Owner.
b) Other materials like cables, sling, gloves goggles, safety belts,
safety helmets, heating oven, pre-heating / post weld heat
treatment arrangements, material for making platforms and
platform supports etc. shall be mobilised as per requirement.
c) Other equipment though required for the timely completion of the
job and but not listed above shall be deployed by the contractor,
as per the job requirements and as directed by the Engineer.
d) The contractor shall make suitable provisions for repairs and
maintenance of the equipment mobilised and always keep them in
good working condition, as the repair facilities for such equipment
are not available at the project site.
e) All concreting shall be carried out using centralised batching plant,
transit mixers, concrete pumps. However individual mixers for

localised concreting can be done for PCC work and small qty. of
RCC work after the approval of Engineer-in-charge, if required.
