SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:
"Salient Technical Features of the equipment / systems / services covered in Tender reference
No.: NTPC/Solapur STPP/9900159895 dated 05.07.2018 are mentioned below. These Salient
Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie
understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of
work and technical features / specification of equipment / systems / services covered in the
Bidding Documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features /
specification of equipment / systems / services, contained in the Bidding Documents shall be
final and binding."
BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:
The broad scope of work for the above work is as follow:
a. Work shall be done as per the Intent of specification / scope of work attached as
Annexure. However the broad scope is as follow.
b. Excavation, Back filling, transporting of surplus earth, Hard crust work, PCC,
RCC form work , reinforcement work , in foundation, cable slits, fire trenches,
mill reject trenches, boiler column encasing, drains, flooring etc in zero meter of
boiler unit #2 at different levels and required locations. This includes with all
labor, lifting arrangements, supervision, equipment, materials required for
executing the work as per the issued drawings in line with BOQ, following safe
practices, safety arrangements for all working personnel.
c. Transporting, lifting , binding, bending and Placing in position ,reinforcement
steel and structural steel(ms angles in edges, insert plates) at required position
at required levels with all tools, labor, safe lifting arrangements , necessary
safety precautions etc. Form work with plywood on edges of floor, in openings,
foundation , pockets etc with all labor, lifting of materials, tools and tackles at
required locations including and removal of form work.
d. Transportation of owner issue materials like cement, steel and structural steel
from NTPC stores to site shall be in scope of agency. OIM shall be issued free of
cost however agency shall submit reconciliation statement with RA Bills.
e. Fixing of embedded parts in required position in which will be supplied by NTPC/
Other agencies, transportation of all material from store to required location,
lifting arrangements of embedded parts ,welding machine, electrodes, cable,
electrical panels, tools tackles and safety precautions/arrangements.
f. Concreting shall be done as per BOQ item with concrete pumps with concrete
pipes fixed in position at required location, making necessary arrangements for

clamping the piped in vertical position, all labor, tools tackles, supervision, safety
precautions, protecting the openings by hard barricading etc complete.
g. Cleaning of floor after completion of activities , removal of all debris, materials,
temporary barricades etc and handing over foundations / area to NTPC.
h. Any other work/ arrangements required for completing facilities/works for
Handing over fronts to other agencies shall be done by the agencies.
