“Salient Technical Features of the equipment / systems / services covered
in IFB No. 40087585 are mentioned below. These Salient Technical Features
are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie
understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit
or alter the scope of work and technical features / specification of
equipment / systems / services covered in the Bidding Documents. Detailed
provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features / specification
of equipment / system / services, contained in the Bidding Documents shall
be final and binding”.
1.0 SCOPE OF WORK
The broad scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, testing at
works, delivery and storage at site, erection, testing and commissioning of
following:
a) All air-conditioning equipments for Central Control rooms, Control Equipment
rooms, SWAS room, UPS & Battery charger rooms, etc. in main Power House,
ESP & VFD control rooms, various office areas, entrance lobbies, visitor & VIP
lounge, reception area etc. of Service building.
2.0 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM
It is proposed to provide vapour absorption machines & Screw/centrifugal chilling
machines to meet the air conditioning requirement of all the air conditioned areas
of Central Control rooms, Control Equipment rooms, SWAS room, UPS & Battery
charger rooms, etc. in main Power House, ESP & VFD control rooms, various
office areas, entrance lobbies, visitor & VIP lounge, reception area etc. of Service
building. Other DCS/PLC based control rooms of auxiliary buildings would be air-
conditioned using split non-Ductable/Ductable air conditioners. Details of major
areas to be air conditioned and the equipments proposed to be provided are
elaborated in the following para.
2.1 The A/C system would comprise of:
i) 4 X 300 TR Capacity Vapour Absorption Machine (existing Voltas make) and 4 X
300 TR Screw/Centrifugal chilling machine.
ii) 6 Nos. each of 210 m

/hr capacity Chilled water pumps.
iii) 1 Nos. 330 m
3
/hr capacity Condenser water pump.
iv) 1 Nos. 360 m
3
/hr capacity Cooling tower.
v) 25 Nos. of air handling unit (AHUs).
vi) Interconnected piping, duct work, insulation, valves, instrumentation, etc.
Note: Erection and commissioning of existing 4 X 300 TR Capacity Vapour Absorption
Machine (Voltas make, which was already supplied and available at site) shall also be
envisaged under this package.
2.2 For meeting air conditioning requirements of DCS based control locations of
offsite buildings, Casette/Split type air-conditioners of suitable capacity are
envisaged.
