of Farakka St-I (3X200MW) package



SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:



The Mega R&M of SG, TG, Offsite and Electrical Control system of Farakka Stage-I(3X200MW) package of Farakka super thermal power station is intended for the procurement of the equipment and systems for the control, protection, operation and monitoring of the Main plant SG, TG & Electrical breaker control system including some of the common systems and offsite areas.


The control system, called Distributed Digital Control Monitoring & Information system (DDCMIS) envisaged consist of the following sub-systems:-


  1. UNIT DDCMIS comprising of the following controls:-

    1. Burner Management System including Boiler Protection and Soot blower controls (SBC).

    2. Turbine Protection and Control system including turbine EHC, TSC, TSI, ATRS, ATT, HP-LP BYPASS and Generator Auxiliaries

    3. Electrical Control System for Unit and UCD Section-III.


  1. COMMON DDCMIS comprising of the following controls:-

    1. CWPH controls

    2. Controls of Common station electrical breakers of CSSAEP


  1. AHP DDCMIS comprising of the following controls:-

    1. Fly Ash series pumps

    2. Bottom Ash series pumps


  1. DMPT DDCMIS comprising of the following controls:-

    1. DM Plant

    2. PT plant


Its Human Machine Interface & Plant Information System (HMIPIS) is based on Large Video Screen (LVS) displays supported by TFT monitor based Operator Work Stations (OWS). These devices through customized user-friendly displays, soft alarm facia and pop-up displays are used for giving fast pin-pointed faults/ status to the operator. Local/Back-up operation of equipment is envisaged through Push Buttons in some application. The total system is networked through a Station-Wide LAN for use of real time data of various plant areas by other users like maintenance, planning, efficiency enhancement groups etc with adequate security policies. The alarm annunciation is also implemented as a part of DDCMIS system.


Measuring instruments such as Electronic Transmitters, Temperature elements and Temperature transmitters, along with requisite process connection & piping, LIEs/ LIRs etc are also included under this package.


Power supply system comprising 24 V DC power supply has been envisaged for above control and instrumentation systems. Control room furniture comprising control desk, cabinets/panels and furniture have also been included in the scope of work.


Power cables, Control Cables and instrumentation cables and erection H/W are envisaged under the scope of work.


Main equipment (SG & TG) related instrumentation system such as Turbo Supervisory System for main turbine and generator, Electronic water Level Indicator (EWLI), HEA ignitor, SWAS etc have been envisaged in the scope of work.


The scope of work also includes modification/dismantling/rectification in existing system/ equipment, installation of some of the cable trays, AMC for DDCMIS, mandatory spares, Tools and tackles and training for employer personnel’s etc.
