Salient Technical features:

The intent of the Renovation and Retrofitting of Existing ESPs is to reduce the particulate emission level to ≤ 50 mg/Nm3 from the existing emissions level.

Brief scope consists of the following:

i.Bidder shall develop the renovation and modernization (R&M) proposal for enhancing the dust collection efficiency of the U#1, 2 and 3 (RSTPS stage-I units) to the specified levels based on refurbishing the existing ESPs and augmenting the collection area. Necessary electrical, ash handling, C&I, structure/civil work etc shall be included in the scope of work and services. Basic scoping for such R&M works of ESP shall be either be by refurbishment and augmentation of existing ESPs based on rigid discharge framework type design or by refurbishment and augmentation of existing ESPs based on rigid discharge framework type design in combination with moving electrode plate type design.

ii.Flue gas ducting system (including refurbishment of existing ducts) upstream and downstream of the augmented/refurbished ESPs, within the terminal points of the package, complete with flow distribution system, expansion joints, isolation/control dampers, associated foundations and support structures.

iii.Complete replacement of ESP thermal insulation lagging, cladding and refractory between APH outlet flange and to ID fan inlet of each unit.

iv.Complete Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil & Structural and Architectural works of Fly Ash Handling Plant for the additional ESP ash hoppers under proposed ESP R&M Package.

v.Complete replacement of the existing electrical installations like ESP service transformers, LTMSB, ACPs, TR sets, controllers, EPMS system, cables(HT<), Hopper/ Insulator heaters, thermostats, Rapping motors, Ash level switches, insulators and Opacity Monitors etc.

vi.Complete microprocessor based ESP management and control system including the intermittent charging TR set controllers, rapping system controllers, communication controllers etc.

vii.Extension of existing control room or creation of additional control room, as required, to accommodate the panels for the ESP panels of new and existing pass / fields. Air conditioning of existing and extended control room.

viii. All civil, structural and finishing works like foundation, structural works for new ESP and Ash Handling system of all the three units including strengthening of the existing ESP structures and existing foundations, as required.
