The Electrostatic Precipitators are of outdoor type and installed on the cold end side of regenerative air preheaters. The flue gas is drawn from air preheater outlets of the balanced draft, pulverized coal fired Steam Generator and guided through adequately sized duct work into the specified number of independent gas streams of each ESP. Similarly, the flue gas after the Electrostatic Precipitators is led to the suction of the induced draft fans. The intent of the Renovation and Retrofitting of Existing ESPs is to reduce the particulate emission level to ≤ 50 mg/Nm3.
The scope of work for Renovation & Retrofitting package consists of the following:
i)Enhancing collection area of existing ESPs
ii)Strengthening of existing ESP structure/foundation as required due to renovation of existing ESP.
iii)Engineering of complete microprocessor based control system for above options
iv)Supply of item/ component as required.
v)Supply of Mandatory spares as detailed in technical specification.
vi)Services like dismantling/ repair/ overhaul/ retrofitting of various other components/ systems/
vii)The scope of work also includes erection of the total equipment, commissioning, gas distribution testing, trial operation, performance guarantee testing etc.
viii)Refurbishment of the existing ESPs by replacement of internal components in each unit of existing ESPs as per the BOQ identified in technical specifications.
ix)All associated Civil & Electricals work for the above scope.
Various Options for Renovation & Retrofitting of existing ESPs
Bidder can select any one of the following options for each unit to achieve the targeted emission level of ≤ 50mg/Nm³ as per the detail scope of work.
OPTION- I
Renovation, Modernization, Upgradation & Retrofitting of existing ESPs with rigid discharge frame work type of design
Renovation of existing ESPs by increasing the collecting electrode (CE) height with/without modifying Collecting Electrode spacing of existing ESPs along with strengthening of ESP structures.
OR
OPTION- II
Renovation, Modernization, Upgradation & Retrofitting of existing ESPs in combination of rigid discharge frame work type of design with Moving Electrode plate type of design
Convert last one/two fix field(s) of existing ESPs to Moving Electrode plate type of design field(s) and renovation of remaining fixed fields of existing ESPs with new internals with/without increasing the collecting electrode (CE) height with/without modifying CE spacing of existing ESPs along with strengthening of ESP structures.
