Salient Technical Features of Coal Mill Rejects Handling System Package’ for BARH STPP Stage-I(3x660 MW)

The Coal Mill Rejects Handling System shall be a dense phase pneumatic conveying system. Each mill reject pyrite hopper shall be fitted with a dedicated positive pressure pneumatic conveying vessel which shall discharge the mill rejects through dedicated pipe line to a storage silo. Each mill bay shall be provided with an independent silo. Each silo shall have a collection capacity of 16 hours of rejects. From the storage silos the mill rejects shall be disposed off in trucks. The salient design parameters of Mill rejects system are :

1. Design value of rejects per mill : 0.8TPH

2. No of mills working per boiler : 10 mills – in two bays of 5mill each

3. No. of pyrite hoppers per boiler : 10

4. No. of transport vessel per boiler : 10

5. No of MRS compressors : 2 (1Woking+1Stand-by)

6. No of storage silos : 6 nos
