SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

A. Plate Type Heat Exchanger(PHE) with following Technical Specification.

1.Heat Exchange Capacity: 600 Kilowatts(minmum).

2.Medium to be Cooled(Hot Side): Lubricating Oil (ISO VG 46).

3.Lubricating Oil Flow Rate : 17.9 Kg/Second.

4.Lubricating Oil Inlet Temperature: 74 Degree Centigrade(maximum).

5.Lubricating Oil Differential Temperature: 15 Degree Centigrade.

6.Lubricating Oil Operating Pressure: 3-4 bar.

7.Lubricating Oil Pressure Drop Across Heat Exchanger: 1.5 bar(maximum). 8 Cooling Media(Cold Side): Raw Water.

9.Raw Water Inlet Temperature: 35 Degree Centigrade(maximum). 10.Raw Water Operating Pressure: 2-3 bar.

11.Raw Water Pressure Drop Across Heat Exchanger: 1.5 bar(maximum).

The heat exchanger should withstand full design pressure in one circuit with zero pressure in the opposite circuit.

The plate of heat exchanger shall be made of SS 316 plates with minimum thickness of 0.5 mm. Plates must be fully supported by the carrier bar.

All inlet and outlet connections shall be designed to accept standard flanges as per ANSI B 16.5 class 150 or better. Corrosion resistant stud bolts shall be provided by the manufacturer.

Gaskets material shall be Nitrile Butadiene Rubber(NBR). Gaskets shall be glued or fastened/fixed securely to the plates. Use of epoxy or heat cured adhesive is not permitted. The adhesive shall be applied to the plate gasket groove so that only one side of each gasket is glued. Glue less gaskets or unfastened/unfixed gaskets, which may become dislodged during assembly, are not permitted.

All fasteners such as tie bolts, studs, nuts and washers shall be of alloy steel, SA193B7 or better, preferably electrozinc plated for improved corrosion resistance.

The plate heat exchanger shall be designed, fabricated and tested in accordance with the requirements of Section VIII, Division 1 of the ASME Code with code stamping.

Goods to be warranted against faulty workmanship or the use of defective materials, under normal use and service, and that such goods will confirm to mutually agreed upon written specifications, drawings and are guaranteed to meet specified performance requirements, for a period of 12 months from the date of commissioning or 18 months from the date of delivery which ever is earlier.

One set of Operation and Maintenance Manual shall be supplied with each Heat Exchanger.
