These Salient Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/ systems/ services covered in the Bidding Documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/systems/services, contained in the Bidding Document shall be final and binding.”

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:

The scope of work comprises turnkey supply of balance mechanical, electrical, C&I and associated civil, structural and architectural works requiring completion and erection and commissioning of complete mechanical, electrical, C&I and associated civil, structural and architectural works of ash handling system for two (2) nos. boilers, of 660 MW nominal rating and their associated electrostatic precipitators, as specified and defined in the specification. The scope of work also includes supply and erection of dry fly ash storage silos for ash utilization purposes.

Some of the major equipments such as ash water pumps, ash slurry disposal pumps, vacuum pumps, instrument air compressors, blowers, heaters, semi EOT cranes, valves and pipes have been received at site. On the civil front, buildings such as ash slurry pump house, ash water pump house, ash slurry sump, ash water sump, etc have been partially constructed. In view of the above, none of the pre-commissioning and commissioning milestone have been achieved so far.

The scope of work shall include the design, engineering, manufacture, shop fabrication, assembly, testing and inspection at manufacturer’s works, type testing wherever applicable, packing, ocean shipment, marine insurance, custom clearance, port clearance and handling, inland transportation, inland transit insurance, delivery at site, unloading, handling, storage and in plant transportation at site, complete services of erection including erection supervision and site testing, inspection, all associated civil, structural and architectural works, insurance during storage, erection and commissioning, performance testing and handing over to the Owner, of Ash handling system for two (2) nos. boilers, each of 660 MW .

The work shall consist of balance mechanical and electrical work and equipment, all balance associated civil, structural and architectural works, Control and Instrumentation equipment,

mechanical services and pipe work and electrical services associated with this ash handling system, the principal features of this system being:

(1.1.a.)A wet ash conveying system for ash collected in the boiler furnaces and economiser hoppers, including treatment system of Bottom ash hopper overflow water.

(1.1.b.)A dry fly ash conveying system for the ash collected in electrostatic precipitators collection hoppers and air preheater hoppers.

(1.1.c.) A dry fly ash transportation and storage system including dry fly ash storage silos for Road/Rail loading and dry fly ash storage silos for HCSD system.

(1.1.d.)Bottom ash and economiser ash slurry disposal system.

(1.1.e.)High concentration slurry disposal system for ash collected in ESP and air preheater hoppers.
