Salient Technical Features:

“Salient Technical Features of the equipment/systems/services covered in IFB no 0040036564 dated 27.03.2015 are mentioned below. These Salient Technical features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/ specification of equipment/systems/services covered in the Bidding Documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/systems/services, contained in the Bidding Documents shall be final and binding.”

Brief Scope of Work:

Desalination and Remineralisation Plant package is a combined package for installation of an additional stand-by SWRO stream (Capacity-275 cum/h) and Remineralisation system (Lime bed & CO₂ dosing system) for permeate water treatment (approx 500m³/hr) for existing Desalination Plant in Vallur TPP(3X500MW). The scope of the Desalination & Remineralisation Plant package includes Design Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning works of complete Desalination & Remineralisation Plant package for Vallur Thermal Power Project (3x500 MW) on the basis of single point responsibility in respect of all the Equipment & works, associated Control & Instrumentation System, Electrical system/equipments, Civil, Structural & Architectural works for various Equipments/ Systems etc. as specified in Technical specifications.

Salient Technical Features:

A) Desalination Plant

1) Filtration System comprising three (3) numbers of Dual Media Filters (HDMF), (3) numbers of Pressure sand Filters (HPSF), (3) numbers of Cartridge Filters (CF), interconnecting piping, valves, fittings etc.

2) SWRO (Sea Water Reverse Osmosis) system/plant One (1) number of SWRO Stream/train module rack assemblies complete with permeators, sampling facilities, High Pressure (HP)-SWRO feed pump one(1) number with Energy (ERU) Recovery Unit (Pressure exchanger), PX booster pump, interconnecting piping, valves, fittings etc.

3) Integrating with existing facilities.

B) Remineralisation System/Plant

1) Remineralisation System/Plant comprising Four (14) nos. of Lime Bed Vessels (LBVs) with associated, piping, valves, fittings etc.

2) Complete CO₂ dosing system comprising Two (2) set of Cylinder banks (Nine(09) no CO₂ cylinders each bank), Spare CO₂ Cylinders Seventy(70) numbers with associated equipments, piping, valves, instrumentation & fittings etc.

3) Integrating with existing facilities.

C) Associated Control & Instrumentation System, Electrical system/equipments etc.

D) Associated Civil, Structural & Architectural works.
