SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

Sub:- Infrastructure development at dry ash silo area and civil works for installation of 02 nos. weigh bridges.

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station is a Unit of NTPC, in Kaniha block under Talcher sub- division of Angul district of ODISHA.

Nearest Town : Talcher 26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station : Talcher 29 KMs

Nearest Airport : Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

INSTALLED CAPACITY

STAGE-I : 2 Units each 500 MW = Total 1000 MW

STAGE-II : 4 Units each 500 MW = Total 2000 MW

TECHNICAL FEATURES :

1. The scope of work includes-

(a) Repair of old RITES office building.

(b) Area development at silo area.

(c) Civil works for two nos. weigh bridge with two nos. rooms.

(d) Providing and fixing 02 nos. sluice gates.

2. Work may be executed, if necessary, in other areas (inside plant) as per decision of EIC.

3. BOQ prices are based on DSR-2012 rates minus 10% (excluding cost of cement, reinforced steel, structural steel & FPS brick wherever required).

4. Required quantity of cement, bricks, reinforcement steel and structural steel will be issued from NTPC Stockyard at free of cost. However, vendor has to make their own arrangements for loading, transporting, unloading and stacking of the materials.

5. All other materials are to be provided by the vendor.

6. NTPC manufactured fly ash bricks are to be used in place of F.P.S. bricks.

7. Electricity and construction water will be supplied by NTPC (if nearest source available).

8. All bought out materials must be supported IS specification and should be in accordance with CPWD specification.

9. The vendor shall also keep sufficient inventory including T&P for smooth running of works.

10. The vendor shall keep adequate safety equipment for safe execution of work at specified location/height.

11. Work shall be executed as per site condition, service specification and as per decision of engineer-in-charge.

12. During execution minor modification/changes may be made in the drawing / scope of work as per site condition.

13. Labor Laws must be complied in accordance with NTPC HR dept.

14. Agency may visit the site and asses the nature of work before quoting price.

15. The DEFECT LIABILITY PERIOD for this work shall be 12 (twelve) months from the date of completion of work.

16. Service period of the contract is 06 (six) months.
