SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

Sub:- Construction of earthen bund at crest level of 4th raising, Lagoon-2, Stage-II Ash dyke, TSTPS-Kaniha.

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station is a Unit of NTPC, in Kaniha block under Talcher sub- division of Angul district of ODISHA.

Nearest Town : Talcher 26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station : Talcher 29 KMs

Nearest Airport : Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

INSTALLED CAPACITY

STAGE-I : 2 Units each 500 MW = Total 1000 MW

STAGE-II : 4 Units each 500 MW = Total 2000 MW

TECHNICAL FEATURES :

Ø The above work has to be carried out at the crest level of 4^th raising lagoon-2 stage-II ash dyke of TSTPS – Kaniha.

Ø The work has to be executed with the approved quality materials (earth) for which agency has to arrange burrow area of earth at their own cost and pay required royalties.

Ø Agency has to resolve all issues related to concerned state authority.

Ø The in situ dry density of compacted layers shall not be less than 92% of the maximum dry density (standard proctor).

Ø The slope area of the bund is to be out & compacted by mechanical means as per construction drawing.

Ø The work is to be executed on firm price basis without any escalation.
