SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

Sub: Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Interconnecting Conveyor in CHP under R&M package, Stage I TSTPS.

Introduction :

NTPC Kaniha (Talcher Super Thermal Power Station) is located in Kaniha block under Talcher subdivision of Angul District of Odisha.

Nearest Town – Talcher (30 Km)

Nearest Railway Station – Talcher (32 Km)

Nearest Airport – Bhubaneswar (180 Km)

Installed Capacity :

Stage – I : 2 X 500 MW

Stage – II : 4 X 500 MW

Brief work description :

Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of Interconnecting conveyor in CHP.

Presently coal handling plants have been provided for Stage-I (2 X 500MW) units and Stage-II (4 X 500MW) units, each rated for 1600 TPH conveying capacity. There is no provision for transportation of coal from Stage-II to Stage-I units.

For ensuring flexibility in coal feeding crushed coal to bunkers of Stage-I units it is proposed to provide one number interconnecting conveyor between TP-15 of Stage-II CHP and TP-11 of Stage-I CHP.

Interconnecting Conveyor shall receive the coal from existing conveyor 22A at TP-15 through flap gate after modification of complete existing discharge chute of 22A as shown in tender Drawing and feed the coal to existing conveyor 12A at TP-11.

Interconnecting belt Conveyors complete with conveyor supporting structures, short supports, stringers, deck plate, seal plate, conveyor foundations, drive motor, drive unit, pulleys idlers, gravity take up including guides, pits etc., internal and external belt cleaners, pull chord switches, belt sway and zero speed switches, electro- hydraulic thruster break (if applicable), all electrical etc including all civil structural and architectural works for conveyor gallery, gallery supporting trestles and their associated foundations.
