Air-Conditioning System Package for Tanda TPP-II(2X660 MW):

SCOPE OF WORK

The broad scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, testing at works, delivery and storage at site, erection, testing and commissioning of all air-conditioning equipment for Control Rooms, Control Equipment Rooms, UPS, Battery Charger Rooms, SWAS Room in Main Power House, ESP control rooms, Water System Control Room, Static Excitation System Control Room, Switchyard Control Building, Offsite building control rooms and control & instrumentation.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM

It is proposed to provide screw chiller based centralized air-conditioning system to meet the air conditioning requirement of all the air conditioned areas of main plant. ESP control room building, Switchyard control building, Water System Control room would be air conditioned using air cooled condensing units. Precision air-conditioners have been envisaged for static excitation control room. Other DCS/PLC based control rooms of auxiliary buildings would be air conditioned using split (cassette/hi-wall) air conditioners. Details of major areas to be air conditioned and the equipments proposed to be provided are elaborated in the following para.

2.1

AC Plant for Main plant:

2.1.1

One Centralized chilled water type air-conditioning system has been envisaged for:

a) Control Rooms (CRs), Control Equipment Rooms(CERs),

b) UPS, Battery charger Rooms.

c) SWAS Room.

2.1.2

The AC system would comprise of

(i) 3 X 185 TR capacity screw compressor type chilling machine.

(ii) Three (03) Nos. of chilled water pumps.

(iii) One (01) No. of condenser water pump.

(iv) One (01) No. of cooling tower.

(v) Eight (08) nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)

(vi) Interconnecting piping, duct work, insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc.

2.2

AC Plant for ESP Control Rooms:

2.2.1

The AC system would comprise of

(i) 4 X 45 TR capacity air cooled type condensing units.

(ii) Four (04) Nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)

(iii) Interconnecting refrigerant piping, valves, duct work , insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc.

AC Plant for Water system control building:

2.3.1

The AC system would comprise of

(i) 2 x 25 TR capacity Air cooled type condensing units.

(ii) Two (02) Nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)

(iii) Interconnecting piping, duct work , insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc.

AC Plant for Switchyard control building:

2.4.1

The AC system would comprise of

(i) 2 X 35 TR capacity Air cooled type condensing units.

(ii) Two (02) Nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)
