Brief Scope of Works
The brief scope of work shall include design, engineering, manufacture, shop fabrication, inspection and testing at manufacturer’s works/ supplier’s works, packing and inland transportation to the site, insurance, delivery to site, receipt, unloading, handling, storage and in plant transportation at site, fabrication at site, installation, testing and commissioning including successful completion of trial operation and performance and guarantee testing of Fire Detection and Protection system complete with all other electrical and allied system equipments including furnishing of spares at site as per specifications and scope defined in the bidding document No. CS-9562-151-2 for Fire Detection and Protection System package for Tanda Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (2x660 MW). Further, obtaining necessary approvals for the complete fire detection and protection system from TAC accredited agency is also in the scope of Bidder.
Brief Description of System
Fire Detection & Protection System mainly comprises of:
1. Fire water pumping system
Complete fire water storage, hydrant pumps and drives, hydrant booster pumps & drives, spray system (common for HVW and MVW spray system) pumps and drives, Spray booster pumps & drives, batteries and battery charger for the diesel engines drives, automatic pressurization system consisting of jockey pumps, required instruments, control and panels etc.
2. Hydrant System
System shall consist of water mains network, hydrant valves, landing valves, water monitors, hoses, branch pipes, nozzles, hose boxes, etc.
3. HVW Spray System
Automatic fire detection cum high velocity water spray system for various transformers, lube oil tanks, boiler burner fronts, Interconnecting transformers, etc.
4. MVW Spray System
Automatic fire detection cum medium velocity water spray system for the various cable galleries of Main plant ,ESP Control building, Switchyard Control Building ,for various coal conveyors, transfer points , fuel oil pressurizing pump house, fuel oil unloading pump house, LDO tanks, stacker reclaimer, etc.
5. Foam System
Automatic fixed foam system for LDO tanks.
6. Inert Gas Extinguishing System
Automatic gaseous fire extinguishing system using inert gas agent as per NFPA 2001 for central control room (CCR), control equipment room (CER), UPS & battery charger rooms, programmer room, etc. located in main plant.
7. The clean agent (Novec-1230) automatic direct/indirect low pressure extinguishing system with linear pneumatic heat detection tube for electrical panels in switchgear room of make-up water pump house and MCC of stacker- reclaimer machines.
8. Fire Extinguishers
Required numbers of portable and mobile fire extinguishers consisting of water type, dry chemical powder type, CO2 type, foam type for various areas of power house.
9. Analogue addressable type fire alarm system / Annunciation panels
a) Analogue addressable type fire alarm system consisting of multi sensor type detectors, LHSC detector, infra-red type heat detector, cabling, junction boxes, instrumentation, required fire alarm cum control panels, PC based monitoring stations, repeater panels etc.
b) PLC based control / annunciation panels complete with all accessories for fire water pump house and RIO panel with all accessories for hydrant & spray booster pump house.
c) Manual call points, response indicators, hooter etc. as per system requirement.
