SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES FOR DDCMIS PACKAGE FOR R&M FOR

UNIT-IV AND UNIT-V (2X210MW) OF BTPS

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

The DDCMIS Package for R&M of Unit-IV & Unit-V (2X210MW) of Badarpur thermal power station is intended for the procurement of the equipment and systems for the control, protection, operation and monitoring of the Main plant of SG C&I & Station C&I system including some of the offsite areas.

The control system, called Distributed Digital Control Monitoring & Information system (DDCMIS) envisaged consist of the following sub-systems:-

1.Station C&I/ BOP-C&I consisting of following as minimum

a.Modulating control for Steam- Generator (SG).

b.Modulating control for Feed water / Condensate Cycle.

c.Binary control of the auxiliaries for Steam-Generator (SG).

d.Binary control of the auxiliaries for Turbine-Generator (TG)

2.SG-C&I consisting of following as minimum on coal fired boiler

a.Burner Management System (BMS).

b.Boiler Protection.

3.Stand-alone DDCMIS comprising of the following controls:-

a.FOPH, Air Compressor controls

b.Controls of Common station electrical breakers

c.Station Drives (ash slurry pumps, Cooling Tower etc.)

Its Human Machine Interface & Plant Information System (HMIPIS) is based on Large Video Screen (LVS) displays supported by TFT monitor based Operator Work Stations (OWS). These devices through customized user-friendly displays, soft alarm facia and pop-up displays are used for giving fast pin-pointed faults/ status to the operator. Local/Back-up operation of equipment is envisaged through Push Buttons in some application. The total system is networked through a Station-Wide LAN for use of real time data of various plant areas by other users like maintenance, planning, efficiency enhancement groups etc with adequate security policies. The sequence of events recording & alarm annunciation are also implemented as a part of DDCMIS system. A GPS based master and slave clock system is provided for uniform and synchronized timing signals throughout the entire station.

Measuring instruments such as Electronic Transmitters, Temperature elements and Temperature transmitters, Low Temperature O2 Analysers, Flame scanners along with requisite process connection & piping, LIEs/ LIRs, Junction Boxes etc. are also included under this package.

Power supply system comprising 24 V DC power supply and UPS have been envisaged for above control and instrumentation systems. Control room furniture comprising control desk, cabinets/panels and furniture have also been included in the scope of work.

Power cables, Control Cables and instrumentation cables and erection H/W are envisaged under the scope of work.

The scope of work also includes modification/dismantling/rectification in existing system/ equipment, installation of some of the cable trays, AMC for DDCMIS, mandatory spares, Tools and tackles and training for employer personnel’s etc.
