BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DEMINERALISING PLANT & CHEMICAL TREATMENT PACKAGE
DEMINERALISING PLANT
It is proposed to install Demineralising plant consists of Two (2) streams of capacity 90 cum/hr for removing ionic loads and produce water of desired quality at Tanda St-II.
Each DM stream consists of Activated Carbon Filter, Cation Exchanger, Degasser tower and Degassed water storage tank, Anion Exchanger and Mixed Bed exchangers. Each DM stream shall be regenerated after a cycle of 12 hours and ACF shall be regenerated once in 24 hrs. Both the streams shall be capable of continuous and parallel operation.
DM Water produced will be stored in two numbers of DM water storage tanks.
DM Plant package includes Complete Regeneration system includes Acid and Alkali storage, preparation & dosing system.
Filter water is made available and three numbers of filter water pumps are used to pump water from filter water sump to DM stream.
Regeneration waste is collected in the N-pit and is pumped to the Ash Slurry pump House Stage-II .
Activated carbon filters & Ion exchanger units shall be located under shed with side open. Regeneration area equipment’s shall also be located under shed with sides open.
DM Makeup pumps, Boiler Fill Pumps and Condensate Transfer pumps are also being procured under this package.
Filtered water transfer pumps (included in bidder’s scope) shall be installed in the Filtered water pump house to supply filtered water to Demineralising plant for removing ionic loads and produce water of desired quality. All interconnected piping, valves, electrical equipment, control & instrumentation are also envisaged for DM plant in this package.
CW Treatment System includes supply & erection of the following major equipment (only hardware is proposed to be procured and installed under this package)-
1. Complete sulfuric acid handling, storage and dosage system.
2. Scale/corrosion inhibitor measuring tanks & dosing System.
3. Dispersant chemical measuring tanks & dosing system.
4. Following monitoring equipment as per NACE std. RP0189 and TM-0286, analysis kits with reagents etc, required for smooth operation of treatment programme.
i) Depositor monitor/fouling monitor to measure the scale deposition/ fouling tendencies of the cooling water.
ii) One (1) bio-fouling monitor or bio-film activity monitor to measure the bio-fouling in the CW system..
iii) Corrosion test coupon test racks (6 nos.) with coupons to measure cumulative corrosion rate and effect of treatment chemicals on CW system metallurgy.
CW Chemical treatment is being installed under this package to treat the Circulating Water so as to prevent any scaling, fouling and corrosion in the Circulating Water circuit. All interconnected piping, valves, electrical equipment, control & instrumentation are also envisaged for CW Chemical treatment System.
