COOLING TOWER PACKAGE FOR BADARPUR TPS (3X95+2X210 MW)

Salient technical features of the equipment / systems / services covered in the IFB no 40030946 is mentioned below. These Salient Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidder to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/system/services covered in the bidding documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/system/services covered in the bidding documents shall be final and binding.

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

1.0The scope includes design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing at works, supply and installation at site, putting into initial operation and performance testing of induced draft Cooling Tower, along with associated civil works, electrical & instrumentation works. The brief scope and technical features of the Induced Draft Cooling towers Package are as follows:

a) Number of Induced draught RCC Cooling Towers		1 number
b) Design flow for each Cooling tower		30,000 Cu.M/hr
c)	Range of Cooling	10 deg. C.
d) Design Cold Water temperature		32.5 deg C.
e) Design ambient wet bulb temperature		27 deg C.
f)	Type of fill	Splash type

g)Complete air moving equipment consisting of fans, reduction gear unit, transmission equipment, lubricating system and electrical motors etc. for all cooling towers and equipment handling system.

i)Electrical switchgear building & Control Room.

j)Complete Instrumentation

2.0Design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing at works, supply & installation at site, commissioning of Cooling Tower Pumps(submersible type) of combined total

capacity of 30000 Cu M/hr- including civil works, electrical & associated instrumentation.

3.0Design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing at works, supply & installation at site, commissioning of Make Up Water Pumps (submersible type)-3 nos. of capacity 2200 Cu M/hr- including civil works, electrical & associated instrumentation.

4.0Design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing at works, supply & installation at site, commissioning of Ash Water Make Up Pumps (submersible type)-2 nos. of capacity 1500 Cu M/hr- including civil works, electrical & associated instrumentation.

5.0Two (2) years of annual maintenance contract (cost of which is to be included by the bidder in the package cost) for the CT pumps after installation/commissioning is also to be performed by the same agency to facilitate smooth operation of the relevant pumping systems. To complete the system, if any other equipment is required; the same shall form the part of Bidder’s scope of work.

6.0Design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing at works, supply & installation at site, commissioning of Ash Water Make Up Pumps (horizontal type)-2 nos. of capacity 1500 Cu M/hr- including civil works, electrical & associated instrumentation.

7.0Supply and erection of 700 NB pipe line from Make Up Water pump house to Main Plant Area (600m)-1000 NB pipe line from Make Up Water Pump house to STP- near existing clarifiers (200 m).
