Sub: Construction of RCC Box culvert replacing the existing hume pipe culvert across the ash slurry pipe lines at junction of NTPC road and NH-53 between CH:288.00 to 289.00 KM, TSTPS, Kaniha.

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station is a Unit of NTPC, in Kaniha block under Talcher sub- division of Angul district of ODISHA.

Nearest Town : Talcher 26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station : Talcher 29 KMs

Nearest Airport : Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

STAGE-I : 2 Units each 500 MW = Total 1000 MW

STAGE-II : 4 Units each 500 MW = Total 2000 MW

TECHNICAL FEATURES :

The above mentioned work is to be carried out replacing the existing Hume pipe culvert across the ash slurry pipe line at Jn of NTPC road & NH-53 between ch 288.00 & 289km.

The major items involved are Dismantling of PCC /RCC, Earthwork excavation / excavation of rock for foundation, RCC M25, both side approach road (WBM & PREMIX) etc.

Available approach roads shall be used for the said work. However, any additional approach road required for the work shall be in the scope of the agency.

The work shall be carried out in the live / charged pipe line corridor; therefore, difficulties in workability may arise during the work. Agency has to take necessary precautions during execution to avoid any damage to live / charged pipe lines.

The work is to be executed on firm price basis without any escalation.
