Air-Conditioning System Package for

Nabinagar STPP-I (3x660 MW)

1.0SCOPE OF WORK

The broad scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, testing at works, delivery and storage at site, erection, testing and commissioning of all air- conditioning equipments for Control Rooms, Control equipment rooms, UPS & Battery charger room , SWAS room in Main Power House, ESP control rooms, Switchyard control room building, Water system control building & offsite building control rooms .

2.0BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM

It is proposed to provide Screw chilling machines to meet the air conditioning requirement of all the air conditioned areas of main plant. Further, air-

conditioning requirement of ESP control room and Water system control building would be met with air-cooled condensing machines. Precision air-conditioners have been envisaged for static excitation control room. Other DCS/PLC based control rooms of auxiliary buildings would be air-conditioned using cassette and Hi-wall split air conditioners. Details of major areas to be air conditioned and the equipments proposed to be provided are elaborated in the following para.

2.1A/C Plant for Control Room, Control Equipment Room and UPS & Battery

Charger Room of unit no 1 and unit no. 2 & 3

2.1.1One Centralized chilled water plant has been envisaged for:

a)Control Rooms (CRs), Control Equipment Rooms(CERs),

b)UPS & Battery charger rooms, SWAS rooms,

2.1.2The A/C system would comprise of :

(i) 5 x 185 TR capacity screw compression type chilling machine. (ii) Five (05) Nos. of chilled water pumps.

(iii) One (01) No. of condenser water pump.

(iv) Eleven (11) nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)

(v)One (1) no. Cooling Tower

(vi)Interconnecting piping, duct work, insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc.

2.2AC Plant for ESP control Room Building of unit 1,2 & 3 2.2.1 The AC system would comprise of

(i)2 x 45 TR capacity air cooled type condensing machine for each ESP control room

(ii)Two (02) Nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs) for each ESP control room

(iii)Interconnecting piping, duct work, insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc. for each ESP Control Room

2.3AC Plant for Water system control building

2.3.1The AC system would comprise of:

(i)2 x 25 TR capacity air-cooled type condensing machine.

(ii)Two (02) Nos. of variable frequency driven (VFD) air handling units (AHUs)

(iii)Interconnecting piping, duct work, insulation, cabling, DCS based control panel, instrumentation, etc.
