Salient technical features of the equipment / systems / services covered in the IFB no. CS-9549-131-2 are mentioned below. These Salient Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidder to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/system/services covered in the bidding documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/system/services covered in the bidding documents shall be final and binding.

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK FOR STATION PIPING PORTION

Design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, fabrication at site, testing at shop, inspection, packaging, transportation to site, storage, taking delivery of Employer supplied equipment from site stores, in plant transportation, erection, cleaning, anticorrosive protection, painting of above ground piping, testing and commissioning of all items like fittings, supports / hangers, valves, actuators, motors, specialties, tanks, instruments, drain, vents including drain / vent valves and air release valves for the following piping systems.

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK FOR FUEL OIL PORTION

LDO unloading and storage system shall be designed to handle LDO. LDO shall be used for initial start-up, coal flame stabilization and low load operation of the steam generator while firing coal.

Light Diesel oil (LDO) will be brought to the power plant by railway wagons. The oil will be unloaded from railway wagons and will be pumped by unloading pumps to the storage tanks. Fuel oil pressurizing pumps shall draw the oil from the storage tanks by gravity.

Light Diesel oil (LDO) may also be received at the power plant by road tankers. The oil will be unloaded and pumped by the unloading pumps to the storage tanks.

Unloading arrangement shall be designed to unload either jumbo rail wagons or conventional rail wagons at a time. Unloading header shall be provided with 80 nos. of 80 NB size neoprene rubber unloading hoses of suitable length. Unloading platform for unloading of road tankers shall also be provided. The road tanker unloading header shall be provided with 5 nos. of 80 NB size neoprene rubber unloading hoses of suitable length.

Six (6) nos. of LDO unloading pumps each of 100 m3/hr capacity shall be provided to operate in parallel for unloading of railway wagons and storing it in the storage tanks. Two (2) nos. of LDO unloading pumps each of 50 m3/hr capacity shall be provided for unloading of road tankers and storing it in the storage tanks. Two (2) nos., of fixed roof type storage tanks each of 2500 m3 capacity shall be provided to store LDO.

One (1) no. of 100 m3 capacity fixed roof type LDO day oil tanks shall be provided for auxiliary boiler. Two (2) nos. LDO transfer pumps, each of 25 m3/hr capacity, shall be provided for transfer of LDO from main storage tank to day oil tank. Oil- water separator pit shall be provided.
