PLANT OVERVIEW

NTPC Talcher-Kaniha (TSTPS) plant is located in Kaniha block under Talcher sub-division of Angul district in the state of Orissa.

Nearest Town              :          Talcher            26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station :         Talcher            29 KMs

Nearest Airport                        :          Bhubaneswar   180 KMs

STAGE - I   -     2 Units each 500 MW -          Total 1000 MW

STAGE- II   -     4 Units each 500 MW -          Total 2000 MW

Area of Work

The Area of work includes the painting works of Switchyard equipments, EHV/ HV/ Auxiliary Transformers, Bus ducts at NTPC/ Kaniha.

Brief Scope of work

• The work includes painting works of Transformers (EHV/ auxiliary), 400/ 220 KV Switchyard equipments & other electrical equipments after making necessary surface preparations with proper protection to color coding / name plates/ letterings/ nomenclatures etc. as detailed in scope of work.

• The paintings of electrical busducts are also included in scope. The painting works at height require proper platform & scaffolding work before work commencement as mentioned in BOQ items of the contract proposal.

• The scaffolding items, supply of spray guns, arranging of compressors & area cleaning after painting work etc are also included in the scope.

• Most of the painting works are to be carried out during unit overhauling/ equipments shutdown opportunities within stipulated timeframe.
