NTPC Talcher-Kaniha (TSTPS) plant is located in Kaniha block under Talcher sub-division of Angul district in the state of Orissa.

EQUIPMENTS INVOLVED

The equipments under consideration consists of Cooling Towers of stage-1 units of 500Mw capacity each and associated pipe lines and valves of different sizes of 1600 mm to 500 MM inside the plant at TSTPP Site within 3 km radius.

JOBS IN BRIEF

In general the contract consists of cutting and removing of old MS pipe lines of size 1600mm dia and upto 500mm dia,, Transportation of pipes, fabrication of reducers, spool pipe fabrication with new pipe, New pipe erction, 550Nb size butterfly valves and bends fitting and fabrication and erection of approach platform for erected valves .The total work will have to be done near Cooling towers and transportation has to be done from stores within the radius of 3 kms. Pipe has to be erected on pedestals at a height of 12 to 15M height on the side of cooling towers but crane will be supplied by NTPC for placement and removal of pipes.
