SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES
Brief Scope of Work
The Brief scope of work for the subject RLA Study of Critical Piping Package for Singrauli STPP Stage- I (5x 200 MW) is as follows:
a)RLA Study Of Critical Piping ( Viz Main Steam, CRH, Hot
b)RLA Activity involves Visual inspection of Critical Piping system, Hanger & support inspection of critical piping system, Metallography Analysis, Advanced Ultrasonic testing ( Like LPA / TOFD) OD & Thickness Measurement, Hardness Testing , Dye Penetrant Testing etc. for all Weld Joints, Bends & Tees , Straight Pipe etc
c)Stress Analysis For Hanger And Supports Design Check / Recommendation For future Replacement.
d)Remaining Life Calculation Using FEM ( Finite Element Method )analysis for the piping system.
e)Based on the completion of the Residual life assessment ( RLA ) / Condition Assessment ( CA) for various piping systems of the plant, the contractor shall submit a comprehensive report to the owner. The report will consist of all results, recommendations and improvement proposals
f)Recommendation regarding replacement of various piping components, wherever considered essential, this recommendation shall be in three parts
a.Components requiring immediate replacement
b.Component which will need replacement after Three ( 3 ) years
c.Component which will need replacement after Six( 6 ) years.
g)Suggest measures for improvement of plant performance and
a.Root cause analysis
b.Immediate measures
c.Measures to be taken in future
d.Improvement / change in O&M practices

h)Installation & dismantling of scaffoldings for accessing complete surface of Critical Piping is in the scope of Bidder.
i)Complete Removal of Insulation from the piping system ( As per Scope) is included in Bidder’s scope.
j)Supply of New Insulation Material and its associated accessories and installation of same is in the scope of Bidder
k)Disposal of Removed Insulation is in the scope of Bidder.
