Brief Technical Specifications for Rapid Discharge BOBRNHSM-1 Wagons.

 

  1. Track gauge: 1676 mm

 

  1. Pay load(with 250mm heap) : 63.67  MT

 

  1. Axle load : 22.32 MT

 

  1. Tare load(Estimated) : 25.61 MT

 

  1. Gross weight : 89.28 MT

 

  1. Volumetric capacity of the wagon: Volumetric capacity of the wagon shall be sufficient to accommodate 63.67 MT of coal having bulk density of 0.80 tones/m3 with 250mm of leveled heap.

 

  1. No. of doors/gates: 2nos (04 flaps/gates) door way opening area: 30 % (minimum) 40% (desirable) of top area.

  1. Bogie: 2-axle cast steel CASNUB-22HS type bogie (Bogie drawing no:-WD-92058-S/3) fitted with spring plank long travel helical springs & load proportional "Friction damping arrangements as per RDSO spec. no:- WD-17-CASNUB-22HS-Bogie-92 (latest amendments).The bogie shall be suitable for fitment of standard wheel sets as per RDSO drawing no:-WD-89025-S/1, wheel to drawing no:-W/WL-4764, Axles to drawing no:-WD-89025-S/2, Cartridge bearing to drawing no:-AR/RB-39-2002 (with latest amendments). Elastomeric pads to STR no: 20-Misc.-95 (with latest amendments) & Polymer Pads side bearers to drawing no: WD-38-Misc-2004. Bogie shall have wheel base of 2000mm & nominal wheel diameter of 1000mm.

 

  1. Coupler and Draft gear: The wagon shall be fitted with High tensile non-transition type centre buffer coupler as per RDSO spec. no:-48-BD-02 (with latest amendments) & high capacity draft gear to RDSO spec. no:-49-BD-04 (with latest amendments).

18. Air Reservoir: RDSO approved make suitable for one opening & one closing cycle with the locomotive disconnected and shall be minimum 135 liters.

 

19. Brake Blocks: Asbestos free L-type composite Brake Blocks, (Make: RDSO approved vendors)

The wagons will be Indian Railway Broad Gauge (BG) 89.28 MT gross & 63.67 MT payload bottom discharge Bogie Hopper Wagons. These wagons will be fitted with Electro-pneumatically operated doors operating mechanism suitable for automatic operation.

JOBS IN BRIEF

 

The scope of equipment to be furnished and services to be provided under the contract are outlined herein after and same is to be read in conjunction with the provisions contained in other volumes. The scope of the contract shall be deemed to include all such items which although are not specifically mentioned in the bid documents and/or in Bidder's proposal, but are required to make the system complete in all aspects for its safe, efficient, reliable and trouble free operation unless the same are specifically excluded from Bidder's scope of work. The equipment included in this volume covers "Turnkey responsibility" for following equipment and services: -

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i) 115 Numbers (including prototype wagon) bottom discharge hopper wagons type BOBRNHSM1 (BMBS) with CASNUB-22HS bogies for operation on 1676 mm gauge. These wagons shall be fitted with pneumatically operated door operating mechanism. Bidder to comply with latest revision of RDSO's "PARTICULAR SPECIFICATION FOR BOGIE OPEN RAPID DISCHARGE HOPPER WAGON" document no. WD-13-BOBRN-2011 and Design-J in RDSO INDEX Drawing no. WD-91071-S-50 (latest revision) for variant BOBRNHSM1 (BMBS).

ii) Bidder should purchase the latest revision of the specification and drawings indicated at (i) above from RDSO and familiarize himself with the requirement of RDSO's specification and drawings before offering his bid.

iii) Mandatory Spares: As per list enclosed at Annexure - IV to SubSection-G0.

Above Mandatory Spares may be reduced at the discretion of the

Employer at the time of placement of order.

In addition to RDSO technical specification requirement regarding 'AS MADE' drawings, Bidder should:

iv) Supply Instruction / maintenance manuals (12 sets).

v) Supply "As made" drawings in CD and Eight (8) sets of prints.

The "Turnkey responsibility" shall include basic engineering, detailed design, manufacture, transport, testing and commissioning of the equipment in accordance with the requirements of the specification. All applicable statutory clearances (e.g. movement clearances/ speed certificate etc.), approval of necessary drawings/ documents (including payment of design loan charges), inspection, testing as per RDSO specifications/Drawings/documents and as required by IR/RDSO, is in the Bidder's scope and shall be obtained by the Bidder at his own cost.
