Salient Technical Features of the subject requirement covered in the IFB NO:
Brief Scope of Work:
The Successful Bidder shall supply imported Steam Coal sourced from identified mine(s) as declared by him on C&F/ High Sea Sales basis either at Gangavaram or at Vizag port only for NTPC Simhadri. Bidder shall declare the coal mine(s) outside India from where they are intending to supply coal as per specification. All liaisons, coordination with coal mine (s) outside India, coordination at load port and activities of stevedoring, handling, arranging vessel etc at the load port shall be part of Scope of Work of the Successful Bidder. The bidder will be required to deliver coal from source upto the unload port and take the marine insurance of the cargo.
Inland Handling and Transport (IHT) contractor appointed by NTPC shall receive the shipment from C&F contractor on behalf of NTPC. Custom Duty shall be paid by the NTPC and cargo related charges at port shall be paid by the Inland Handling and Transport (IHT) contractor. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for coordination with IHT contractor, Port and statutory authorities for custom clearance and timely discharge of vessel.
The detailed Scope of Work shall be as per the Bidding Documents.
Delivery: On C&F / High Seas Sales basis at either Gangavaram or Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) port as decided by NTPC
Delivery Period: Total quantity of imported coal shall be delivered in 4 (Four) months period, as per delivery schedule to be given to the successful bidder by NTPC. Delivery schedule may be extended by two months at the sole discretion of NTPC.
