SAILENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

"Salient Technical Features of the "Construction of Drain & Culvert in East Colony at NTPC - Bongaigaon." covered in NIT/ IFB no40020446/ BgTPP/C&M/CS/2450 dated 28.05.2014 are mentioned below. These salient Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie understand the requirements under the tender and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/ specification of Construction of Drain & Culvert in East Colony at NTPC - Bongaigaon covered in the bidding documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/ specification of Construction of Drain & Culvert in East Colony at NTPC - Bongaigaon contained in the Bidding Documents shall be final and binding." 

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES

• The drain walls shall be of brick in Cement mortar 1:4 (1Cement: 4 Coarse sand). The thickness of wall shall vary with depth of drain, Inner walls and top of drain wall shall be finished with Cement plaster and a floating coat of neat Cement. Further weep holes with filter media shall be provided along the length of the drain.
• The box culvert shall be of RCC in nominal mix in proportion 1:1.5:3 (1 Cement: 1.5 Fine aggregate: 3 Coarse aggregate).
• For individual approach to quarters cast in situ RCC slab in nominal mix proportion of 1:1.5:3 (1 Cement: 1.5 Fine aggregate: 3 Coarse aggregate).
• The work shall be carried out as per issued drawings and instruction of Engineer-In-Charge.
• Standard procedures as per CPWD specifications shall be followed for the work.
