Sub :    Maintenance Work of Ash Slurry Pumps, Ash Water R/C pumps & pipeline, Ash Disposal pipeline from Ash Slurry Pump House to plant Boundary wall of Stage-I & II.

 

PLANT OVERVIEW

 

NTPC Talcher-kaniha (TSTPS) plant is located in Kaniha block under Talcher sub-division of Angul districts in the state of Odisha.

Nearest Airport:               Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

STAGE - I   - 2 Units each 500 MW - Total 1000 MW

STAGE - I   - 4 Units each 500 MW - Total 2000 MW

 

EQUIPMENTS INVOLVED

 

There are four ash disposal series in the Ash slurry Pump House of Stage-I and six ash disposal series in the Ash slurry Pump House of Stage-II, located inside the plant boundary wall and  eight ash water recirculation pumps in the ash water recirculation pump house - I & II located around 5Km away outside the plant boundary wall, near stage-I ash dyke area. The equipments under consideration in the ash slurry pump house consist of ten ash slurry disposal series (each series having three pumps in Stage-I and four pumps in Stage-II), one gear box, one fluid coupling, HP & LP seal water pumps (each two numbers for Stage-I & II), four numbers of drain sump pumps, ash slurry sumps, the various type of valves/pipe lines connected with the pump house and ten number of ash slurry disposal pipe lines from the pump house to plant boundary wall. The equipments under consideration in the ash water recirculation pump house consists of eight numbers of ash water recirculation pumps and the various type of valves & pipe lines connected inside the pump house premises.

 

JOBS IN BRIEF

 

In general the contract consists of miscellaneous maintenance activities of the various equipments (i.e. break down maintenance/overhauling/replacement of pumps, gear boxes, fluid couplings, various types of valves / pipe lines connected to the system, etc.) in both the pump houses & maintenance of the ash slurry disposal pipe lines (i.e. pipe rotation, pipe replacement, welding of joints/patches, fabrication and erection of MS bends, replacement of basalt bends, etc.).
