Introduction:

NTPC Kaniha / Talcher Super  Thermal Power Station is located in Kaniha block under Talcher subdivision of Angul District of Odisha.

Nearest Town - Talcher (26 Km)

Nearest Railway Station - Talcher Station (29 Km)

Nearest Airport - Bhubaneswar (180 Km)

Technical features :

Coal Handling Plant (CHP) of TSTPS is handling about 55000 MT of coal daily to feed 3000 MW Power Station. CHP is a vast area spreading across

Transfer Points (TP)  :         28 nos.

Track Hoppers (TH)   :          3 nos.

Crusher Houses (CH) :         3 nos.

Bunker Floor (BF)       :       12 nos.

The details of equipments in the above four major areas are as described below.

Paddle feeders    :             12 nos.

ILMS                    :              12 nos.

MS                       :               4 nos.

VGF                     :             12 nos.

Crushers              :             12 nos.

Belt feeders        :               8 nos.

Conveyors           :             68 nos. including four Boom conveyors and   

                                       twelve bunker conveyors. Capacity-1600 TPH

Flap gates           :             98 nos.

Mobile tripper      :               8 nos.

Stacker cum Reclaimer :      4 nos.

Each of the above equipments is having its own sub system like driving system, hydraulic system, lubricating system, travel drive system, cooling system depending upon functionality of the equipment.

The maintenance of the above systems are being done through this contract throughout the year
