Sub: Pest control works in township, plant and nearby villages of TSTPS.

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station is a Unit of NTPC, in Kaniha block under Talcher sub- division of Angul district of ODISHA.

Nearest Town                          :  Talcher 26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station         :  Talcher 29 KMs

Nearest Airport                       :  Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

INSTALLED CAPACITY

STAGE-I        : 2 Units each 500 MW = Total 1000 MW

STAGE-II       : 4 Units each 500 MW = Total 2000 MW

TECHNICAL FEATURES :

The work includes of anti-larval, anti mosquito and pest control, Anti snakes operations, and operations against cockroaches' etc in PTS, TTS and plant area of Talcher TSTPS as per specifications contained herein. The work shall broadly include:

a)       Anti-larval measures in breading places of mosquitoes.

b)      Spraying for effective control of mosquito and pest like cockroaches etc.

c)      Bee hive removal to be carried out from the Township buildings and from the main plant area buildings including all required tools, tackles and scaffoldings wherever approaches are available taking all the safety measures during the operation by the agency. Only trained and experience personnel should be deployed during the operation.

d)     Anti snake operations in and around houses, public buildings of Township and plant area.

e)      Fogging operation for anti-malaria measure using chemicals i.e. Malathion 50% EC, with their recommended closes in the surrounding villages and other areas. The fogging will be carried out strictly by fogging machine.
