NTPC Talcher-Kaniha (TSTPS) plant is located in Kaniha block under Talcher sub-division of Angul district in the state of Orissa.

EQUIPMENTS INVOLVED IN THE CONTRACT
This work is for two units of Stage - II units. These are BHEL make 500 MW units.
The areas involved are Flue gas and air ducts. Non Metallic expansion joints. Also various types of gates and dampers are covered.
JOBS IN BRIEF
Mostly the work will be done in various flue gas and air ducts. The work will involve cleaning, inspection, thickness survey, cutting, welding & repairing of ducts. The quality of workmanship is vital for durability of work. The D-meter, all T&P, consumables and welding electrodes are to be arranged / supplied by the agency.
The replacement of fabric expansion joints / NMEJ which also involves the special jointing of the fabrics.
It also involves the servicing of various types of dampers like lower dampers and biplane dampers and ensuring their free operation.
Issuing of spares and material from central store and reconciliation of the materials, Disposing of the scraps generated in the designated scrap yards.
