Salient Technical Features of the equipment/system/services covered in IFB no. CS-0370-318A(R)-9 dated 04.03.2014 are mentioned below. These Salient Technical Features are mentioned only to facilitate the prospective bidders to prima-facie understand the requirements under the bid and shall not in any way limit or alter the scope of work and technical features/specification of equipment/ systems/services covered in the Bidding Documents. Detailed provisions in regard of scope of work and technical features/ specification of equipment/systems/services, contained in the Bidding Documents shall be final and binding.

The package consists of Civil, Structural and Architectural works divided into two parts:

FOR LUMPSUM PORTION

Design, Engineering, Fabrication, Erection and construction of civil, structural and architectural works for MUW System near Intake pump house in submergence of Indrapuri Barrage on river Sone outside plant boundary, consisting of the following major structures:

    1.    Intake well in the submergence of Indrapuri barrage on river Sone, etc.,
    2.    Intake water pump house over the intake well including maintenance area, switchgear building and transformer foundations at intake well etc.,
    3. Approach bridge walkway (2500 RM) along with the piers, abutments and their foundations connecting the intake water pump house to the river bank,
    4. Geotechnical investigation in river Sone,
    5.    Model studies for intake water pump house in intake well,
    6.    Switchgear room, control room including battery room and Outdoor transformer foundations for Intake water pump house, etc. on the reservoir bank,
    7.    Area filling along with the road/drains, turfing, boundary wall, gate, etc. in the make up water facilities area on the reservoir bank,
    8.    Stop logs, trash racks, lifting beams with hoists for intake well etc.

 

FOR UNIT RATE PORTION

Civil, structural and architectural works for CW System, CW Pump House, SACW Pump House, Raw Water Pump house and laying of MUW pipelines including fabrication and erection of the following major structures:

  1. CW pump house including maintenance bay, Forebay, Transition zone etc.
  2. Station Auxiliary CW pump house including maintenance bay, Forebay, etc.
  3. CW ducts from CW pump house to transformer yard area  and from transformer yard area to Cooling Towers, etc. (ducts between transformer yard area and A-row are covered in TG area civil works package)
  4. Open CW RCC channel, etc.
  5. Raw water pump house near reservoir inside plant area including maintenance bay, common pit, inlet pipes from reservoir, stoplog gates, lifting beam, hoist, switchgear room, control room including battery room, transformer foundation, etc.
  6. Laying of two nos. 1000 dia 3 LPE coated make-up water pipe line including cathodic protection from Intake well pump house to the raw water reservoir including road/canal/nallah crossing. (Approx. 7 KM on land and 2.5 KM on bridge)
