Sub: Annual civil maintenance contract for Stage-I ash dyke of TSTPS (2X500MW).

SALIENT TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Talcher Super Thermal Power Station is a Unit of NTPC, in Kaniha block under Talcher sub- division of Angul district of ODISHA.

Nearest Town : Talcher 26 KMs

Nearest Railway Station : Talcher 29 KMs

Nearest Airport : Bhubaneswar 180 KMs

INSTALLED CAPACITY

STAGE-I : 2 Units each 500 MW = Total 1000 MW

STAGE-II : 4 Units each 500 MW = Total 2000 MW

TECHNICAL FEATURES :

01. Annual maintenance contract is to be carried out at Stage # I Ash dyke of TSTPS ( 2 X 500 mw) and its periphery area.

02. The major items involved are Earthwork excavation and banking of earth at affected area, maintenance of slope drain by RR masonry and PCC, laying of 300 mm RCC pipe for cross drainage purpose.

03. WBM of two layers are kept for repairing of dyke and its periphery for smooth movement of vehicle.

04. Supply of ash filled bags & USW are there to cater during emergency situation.

05. Geotextile of 2.2 mm thickness material is there for covering the ash/sand boiling area and above it sand, Aggregate filters and boulders are to be laid in order to arrest the sand boiling.

06. The work is to be executed on firm price basis without any escalation.
