INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OFINTEREST
For
Sale of Gypsum from PVUNL Plant in Phase-I Units (3×800 MW) at Patratu

Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited(PVUNL)-a subsidiary of NTPC Limited in Joint Venture
with Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL), Govt. of Jharkhand (GoJ), has started
construction to set up Patratu Super Thermal Power Plant Phase –I (3×800 MW) at Patratu which is
located just outside the coal belt of South Karanpura in Ramgarh District of Jharkhand State. The
nearest Railway Station is Patratu which is at a distance of about 4 km on Barkakana –Barwadih
Railway Line.
PVUNL invites “Expression of Interest (EOI)” for assessing market response for short listing of
Purchasers/Agencies for further course of action such as Long term tie up/ MOUs/ Tendering or any
combination of the said three options, for the selling of “Gypsum” from PVUNL, Patratu. The
interested parties can also indicate whether they are Gypsum wall board manufacturers or Glass fiber
reinforced gypsum (GFRG) panel manufacturers or cement manufacturing enterprise or any other
manufacturing industry unit using gypsum. In such a case, the total amount of Gypsum produced
can be given to such companies/parties on long term basis/MOUs/Agreement. It may be pertinent to
note that the quality of Gypsum procured from PVUNL shall be 90% pure with Moisture content<
10%andChlorine content< 100 ppm. Quantity of Gypsum produced will be of the order of 2950
Tons/day.
Interested parties are requested to refer the terms and conditions of the EOI at PVUNL website
(
pvunl.co.in) before submitting their EOI. The details may be submitted in sealed envelopes as per
the format obtained from PVUNL site. It may be noted that submission of EOI does not in any way
constitute any kind of commitment on the part of PVUNL.
