. Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUN), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited
in JV with JBVNL, is setting up of 3X800 MW Coal based Patratu Super
Thermal Power Project at Patratu. The units will be commissioned between
March’22 and February’23.

. Dry fly ash and Dry bottom ash will be available for Construction of Road,
Embankment, Dams & Land filling, etc. and Manufacturing of Cement, Ready
Mix Concrete, RCC pipes, Fly ash bricks, Tiles, etc.
3. Production: Dry Fly ash – Approx. 39 lakhs ton per year and Dry Bottom ash

Approx. 9 lakhs ton per year.
4. Location of the Plant: 4 km from Ranchi-Barkakana-Ramgarh state highway.

0 km from Ramgarh and 40 km from Ranchi by road. Nearest railway station
Patratu (approx. 3 km). Nearest airport – Ranchi (approx. 50 km).

5. Collection & Transport Facility :
o Dry Fly ash from Fly ash silos (6 no.) & Dry Bottom ash from Bottom
silos (3 no.)
o Road and Railway connectivity will be for transport of the Fly ash &
Bottom ash from the plant.
6. Industries :

Fly Ash based Brick, Blocks, and Tiles manufactures:
Fly ash will be supplied to the above manufactures at a Nominal price
of Rs. 1/- per ton. A request letter along with the necessary documents/
information is to be submitted to PVUNL for issue of the fly ash. A
copy of the letter is given in Annexure-I.
