Invitation of Expression of Interest (EOI) for identification of
Prospective Contractors/firms for providing O&M Services in Thermal
Power Plants

1.0 Introduction :
NTPC, a Maharatna company, is India’s largest energy conglomerate, established
in 1975, to accelerate power development in India. It has established itself as the
dominant power major with presence in the entire value chain of the power
generation business.
Present installed capacity of NTPC is 55,126 MW (including 7,801 MW through
JVs/Subsidiaries) comprising of 52 NTPC Stations (22 Coal based stations, 7
combined cycle gas/liquid fuel based stations, 2 Hydro based station, 1 Wind based
Station), 9 Joint Venture stations (8 coal based and one gas based) and
11 renewable energy projects.
2.0 Intent of Expression of Interest
2.1 NTPC Consultancy is in the process of taking up complete O&M of power plants
from various clients and JV companies. In this regard, we are in the process of
enlisting Contractors/firms to whom complete or part of the assignments can be
outsourced.
2.2 The purpose of EOI is to enlist reputed Contractors/firms, who have experience in
providing O&M services of thermal power stations of unit size 100 MW and above
capacity. Such Contractors/Firms may be domestic or foreign. However, in case of
foreign company, it should have its office/branch/division / unit registered in India.
3.0 Scope of Expression of Interest:
Contractors/firms should have carried out O&M works in any or all the following
areas(s) in power plants of unit capacity 100 MW & above:
• BTG (Boiler- Turbine- Generator) and its auxiliaries including switchyard
• Ash handling plant,
• Coal handling plant,
• Balance of Plant i.e. DM Plant, Pre-Treatment Plant, CW System, Cooling
Towers, Compressors, Fire Protection Systems.

4.0 Information Required:
Interested parties are required to submit information in the attached format.
5.0 Procedure of Obtaining EOI Documents
The set of EOI documents along with forms/annexure/appendix can be
downloaded from NTPC tender website www.ntpctender.com or
www.eprocurentpc.nic.in
6.0 Submission of application of EOI
6.1 The interested Contractors/firms shall submit documents as per the format
attached in invitation of EOI on NTPC e-tender website www.eprocurentpc.nic.in.
The proposals along with supporting documents shall be uploaded on or before
the prescribed date and time on e-tender website.
6.2 NTPC shall not be responsible for any delay/non-receipt of EOI and reserves the
right to reject any EOI without assigning any reason thereof.
6.3 NTPC may ask for additional information from interested Contractors/firms. NTPC
reserves the right to modify, abolish or alter the EOI without assigning any reason
thereof.
7.0 Right to Accept or Reject Application:
7.1 Applicants may note that mere submission of EOI and/or submission of additional
information do not automatically entitle them to any claim.
7.2 Notwithstanding anything contained in this EOI, NTPC reserves the right to annul
the process and abolish at any time without any liability or any obligation for such
acceptance, rejection or annulment without assigning any reason thereof.
