INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
A. NTPC Limited, Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station, Visakhapatnam- 531020 invites bids from eligible bidders
for the following package:
“ REPLACEMENT OF 33 KV TRANSMISSION LINES BY DESIGN, SUPPLY & ERECTION OF 33 KV DOUBLE
CIRCUIT LINE ON M+ TYPE TOWERS FROM NTPC TO AWRC PH AND PARTLY TOWARDS SWEET WATER
PH, VISAKHAPATNAM ”
B. QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS
As mentioned in the Tender Document ‘QUALIFYING REQUIREMENT’.
C. BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of covers following:
Design, Supply, Erection and Commissioning of 33kV Double Circuit Line on M+ Type Towers from NTPC
Simhadri Boundary to AWRC Pump House and partly towards Sweet water Pump House. Approximate number
of towers are estimated as 100 Nos with a ruler span of 100 Metres
Presently the 33kV OH line is on rail poles with cross arms. Along the existing route only new towers are to be
erected. Wherever new Towers are erected, the old rail poles (one circuit) OH line dismantling, conductor and
insulator removal and shifting to plant and handover to NTPC also in agency scope under this package. The
rail poles to be removed are around 150 numbers.
All the materials, including steel, cement etc are under the scope of agency.
Technical Specifications, Tower Dimensional Drawings and Draft Quality Plans are available as part of Tender
Documents
D. REVERSE AUCTION IS APPLICABLE for this Tender. Detailed procedure for Reverse Auction is mentioned at
Cl.No.33.0 of ITB for O&M Works.
E. NTPC shall allow purchase preference, as indicated in the bidding documents, to bids from local suppliers as
defined in the bidding documents. The bidders may apprise themselves of the relevant provisions of bidding
documents in this regard before submission of their bids.
F. A Complete set of bidding Document may be downloaded by any interested Bidder directly through NTPC
eProcurement Portal, https://eprocurentpc.nic.in.
G. Tender documents are non-transferable. No bidder other than the original bidder in whose name the tender
documents are sold / downloaded can submit the offer.
H. Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.
I. Bidder shall ensure that EMD details (EMD Exemption Claim / Original Bank Guarantee / Original Demand Draft /
Original Banker's Cheque, as applicable) shall reach on or before the Bid Submission End Date & Time (Please
refer SCC Clause 24.0).
J. The subject contract falls under “works” contract and hence, EXEMPTION OF TENDER FEE & EMD IS NOT
APPLICABLE for this tender.
K. NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel / withdraw the Invitation For Bids (IFB) without assigning
any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder / intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such
action.
