OF DRY FOG DUST SUPPRESSION SYSTEM AT CRUSHER HOUSE STAGE-I & II AT  
SINGRAULI SUPER THERMAL POWER STATION (SSTPS) UNDER MEGA R&M

NTPC invites on-line bids on Single stage Two envelope basis from eligible  
bidders for above said package as per the Scope of Work briefly mentioned  
hereinafter.  
BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:  
The scope of work covers, designs , manufacture, shop testing, supply, handling and  
storage at site, complete installation testing and commissioning of the DFDS system  
including accessories. The supply shall be but not limited to the following.  
a) Complete erection of equipment, testing & commissioning at site.  
b) Complete foundation structure along with stiffening members etc. is in the  
scope of vender.  
c) The proposed dust suppression system shall be able to control dust  
concentration within desires statutory requirement.  
d) Automatic Dry Fog Dust Suppression System for Conveyor Belts, transfer  
point shall be capable of controlling dust during transfer of coal from one belt  
to another belt.  
e) System shall include Water pump & air compressor. System should work only  
when the belt is running and loaded with coal. It should not spray any water  
when belt is running without load or the belt is idle. The system should be  
automatic in switching on and off.  
f) The sensing unit shall be 100% mechanically operated spring load base frame  
fixture activation load switch consisting of stop valve, strainer, nozzle, rubber  
hoses and installation accessories, with inbuilt hydraulic pump unit & control  
valve for water flow regulation, mounted on a base frame, spring loading to  
activate spraying in loaded & running condition only.  
g) The sensing system shall be so designed to be mounted below the conveyor  
belt with minimum modification & capable of controlling & operating at the  
water pressure up to 10.5 bar.  
h) Incoming cable to pump/compressor control panel shall be supplied and laid  
by NTPC. Outgoing power cable ,laying of cable up to individual  
pump/compressor shall be in the scope of vendor.  
i) The system shall be designed which shall not contain any cabling along  
conveyor for spray activation.  
j) PVC/MS/RCC water tank & water as per requirement shall be supplied by  
vendor.  
k) The system should be compatible with 1400 mm width belts having belt speed  
2.76 mtr/sec.  
l) Tender of those firms will be accepted who has supplied similar type of  
system to other Thermal Plants/Cement/Material Handling plants.  
m) The complete installation of the system shall be in the scope of vendor  
including civil work.

The dates shall be filled at the time of publication of NIT subsequent vetting of Tender  
Documents.  
Bidder shall submit the Demand Draft towards the cost of Bid Document / Tender Fee alongwith  
the envelope containing the Bid Security. However, Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs)  
registered with District Industries Centres or Khadi and Village Industries Commission or Khadi  
and Village Industries Board or Coir Board or National Small Industries Corporation or  
Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom or any other body specified by Ministry of Micro, Small  
and Medium Enterprises as per MSMED Act 2006,for goods produced and services rendered,  
shall be issued the bid documents free of cost and shall be exempted from paying Earnest  
Money Deposit//Bid Security.

. Demand Draft can be prepared in favour of NTPC Ltd., Payable at Shaktinagar and  
shall be submitted alongwith the documents being submitted to NTPC in Hard copies  
as mentioned in ITB/BDS, else Bid shall not be opened by NTPC.  
Bid Security and Tender fee shall be submitted in a sealed envelope separately  
offline by the stipulated bid submission closing date and time at the address given  
below. Any bid without an acceptable Bid Security shall be treated as non-  
responsive by the employer and shall not be opened.

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENT FOR BIDDERS  
.1 The Bidder should have supplied, erected or got erected & commissioned or got

commissioned the dry fog dust suppression system (DFDS System) for the material  
handling plant of minimum 500MT/hour of material handling capacity during last  
seven (07) years, ending last day of the month previous to the date of NIT having  
minimum contract value as indicated below:  
a) Three executed/completed contracts ,as above, of value not less than Rs. 58  
Lakh each  
or  
b) Two executed/completed contracts ,as above, of value not less than Rs. 72  
Lakh each  
or  
c) One executed/completed contracts ,as above, of value not less than Rs. 115  
Lakh

.2 The average annual turnover of the bidder, in the preceding three (3) completed  
financial years ending with financial year 2016-17 shall be not less than Rs. 72 Lakh

NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/ withdraw the IFB for  
subject Package without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no  
bidder / intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.

Issuance of bid documents to any bidder shall not construe that such bidder is  
considered to be qualified. Bids shall be submitted and opened at the address  
given below in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend the  
bid opening.  
Transfer of Bidding Documents purchased by one intending Bidder to another is  
not permissible.
