1.0 NTPC invites bids on Single Stage Two Envelope bidding basis (Envelope-I: Techno-

Commercial Bid & Envelope-II: Price Bid) in Single Stage Two Envelope (i.e. Envelope-I:

Techno-Commercial Bid and Envelope-II: Price Bid) from eligible bidders for

.Procurement of Cable fault locator for Tanda Thermal Power Project as per the Scope of

Work mentioned in the bidding document No. 2018_NTPC_5893_1.

2.0 Detailed scope of work, specifications and terms & conditions are given in the bidding

documents which are available for examination and sale at the address given below as per

the following schedule :

The date of opening of Envelope-II(Price Bids) shall be intimated separately by NTPC.

3.0 All bids must be accompanied by EMD/Bid security for an amount of Rs. 50,000/-(Indian

Rupees Fifty Thousand only) in the form of DD/BG or as stipulated in bidding documents.

ANY BID NOT ACCOMPANIED BY AN ACCEPTABLE EMD/BID SECURITY IN A

SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPE SHALL BE REJECTED BY THE EMPLOYER AS BEING

NON-RESPONSIVE AND RETURNED TO THE BIDDERS WITHOUT BEING OPENED.

4.0 QUALIFYING REQUIREMENT FOR BIDDERS

The bidder should be a manufacturer of Cable Fault Locator

An authorized dealer/distributor/channel partner/ subsidiary of the manufacturer.

2. The bidder shall have after sales service support in India.

3. The bidder or its principal should have successfully executed purchase orders for supply of

Cable Fault Locator with either of the following criteria during last seven years as on the

date of the bid opening:

a. Three executed orders each costing not less than INR 12 lacs.

b. Two executed orders each costing not less than INR 15 lacs.

c. One executed order costing not less than INR 24 lacs

ci.

4. The average annual financial turnover of the bidder during last Three (3) financial years

ending on 31st March 2017/2018 should not be less than INR 30 Lacs.

Notes:

A. The word executed means that the bidder should have achieved the progress specified in

the QR even if the total contract is not completed / closed.

B. Other income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover.

C. In cases where audited results for the last preceding financial year as on the date of

Techno commercial bid opening are not available , the financial results certified by a

practicing Chartered Accountant shall be considered acceptable. In case, Bidder is not able to

submit the certificate from practicing chartered accountant certifying its financial parameters,

the audited results of three consecutive financial years preceding the last financial years shall

be considered for evaluating the financial parameters.

4.1 Notwithstanding anything stated above, the Employer reserves the right to assess the

capabilities and capacity of the Bidder / his collaborators / associates / subsidiaries / group

companies to perform the contract, should the circumstances warrant such assessment in the

overall interest of the Employer.

5.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT without

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any

claim arising out of such action.

6.0 A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased/downloaded by any interested

Bidder from http://www.eprocurentpc.nic.in on registration/enrollment on home page.

However, for submission of bids making of payment (non-refundable) towards cost of the

bidding documents and the downloaded documents can be used for bidding purpose.

Issuance of bidding documents to any bidder shall not construe that such bidder is

considered to be qualified. Bids shall be submitted online However, original EMD, Tender

Cost (Non-refundable) towards Bidding documents shall be submitted offline (hard copy) and

opened at the address given below.
