NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)

RLA & Refurbishment with Thermal Barrier Coating of Hot Gas Casing (HGC) of 13D2 (Alstom Make)

1.0 NTPC invites on-line bids from eligible Bidders for aforesaid package, as per the scope of work briefly mentioned

1.0 Qualifying Requirements

The bidder who wishes to participate in the bidding shall meet the Qualifying Requirements stipulated

one Hot gas path inspection or Major overhaul (minimum 15,000 EOH).

and

1.0.2 Bidder must either himself possess or have legitimate access for the necessary technology of

refurbishment of sheet metal hot path components of Alstom make Gas Turbine model No. 13D2 of Anta

Gas Power station having ISO rating of 98MW at TIT of 1005 deg-C / Alstom make gas Turbine model No.

13E1 of Jhanor Gas Power Station having ISO rating of 144.4 MW at TIT of 1060 deg-C/ Siemens make Gas

turbine Model No. V94.2 of Dadri Gas Power station having ISO rating of 142.42MW at TIT of 1060 deg C.

The bidder at his option can also outsource any of the activities required for refurbishment of sheet metal

hot path components subject to the condition that the chosen outsourcing agency by the bidder also have

the necessary technology for refurbishment of sheet metal hot path components of Alstom make Gas

who meets the requirements mentioned at para 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 above.

1.0.4 NTPC has the right to assess the capability and capacity of the bidder for carrying out the

refurbishment of sheet metal hot path components of identified machines of its plant.

1.1 Financial criteria for Bidder:

1.1.1 The average annual turnover of the Bidder should not be less than Rs. 374.40 Lac (Rupees Three

crore seventy four lakh and forty thousand only) during the preceding three (3) completed financial years

as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

1.1.2 In case the bidder does not satisfy the financial criteria, stipulated at CL. 1.1.1 above on its own,

it’s holding company would be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements at CL.1.1.1 above,

provided that the net worth of such holding company as on the last day of the preceding financial year is

1.1.3 In case the bidder is not able to furnish its audited financial statements on stand – alone entity basis

the bidder further furnishes the following documents in substation of its qualification.

(i) Copies of the unaudited unconsolidated financial statements of the bidder along with copies of the

audited consolidated financial statements of the Holding company.

1.1.4 In cases where audited results for the last financial year as on the date of techno- commercial bid

opening are not available, the financial results certified by a practicing Chartered Accountant shall be

considered acceptable. In case, Bidder is not able to submit the Certificate from practicing Chartered

Accountant certifying its financial parameters, the audited results of three consecutive financial years

preceding the last financial year shall be considered for evaluating the financial parameters. Further, a

Certificate would be required from the CEO /CFO per the format enclosed in the bidding documents

as per Companies Act of India.

For Annual turnover indicated in foreign currency, the exchange rate as on seven (07) days prior to the

date of Techno-commercial bid opening shall be used.

8.0 Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such

action.
