# Vindhyachal super thermal power project is located in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh.
Nearest railway station is Shakti Nagar (03 Kms approx.) and nearest major town is Varanasi
(220Kms Approx.).
# The existing coal handling plant (stage#1) of Vindhyachal super thermal power project
(VSTPP) caters to the coal requirement for six units of 210MW each using 04 nos 415V motor
control centers (MCCs). MCC # 1 is installed at TP-4 (elevation of +40Mtr above ground) and MCC-
2 is installed at T/H # 1 (Ground floor). Both MCCs feed the power to nearby different rating
motors, welding, lighting, magnets, metal detectors etc.
# Both MCC-1 and MCC-2 shall be completely replaced with newly designed, manufactured &
supplied MCCs by successful bidder. Single line diagram, electrical Scheme drawings & General
arrangement drawing of MCC-1&2 is attached as annexure # 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.
# Existing System Parameters:
o MCC # 1: 1600A, AL busbar, 415VAC +/- 10 % (Solidly grounded), 50 Hz, 3Ph 4Wire, 45KA
RMS(105 KA Peak) / 1Sec (Fault Level), single front, floor mounting, draw out type
o MCC # 2: 800A, AL busbar, 415VAC +/- 10 % (Solidly grounded), 50 Hz, 3Ph 4Wire, 45KA
RMS(105 KA Peak) / 1Sec (Fault Level), single front, floor mounting, draw out type
o Both MCCs will have 02 nos incomer breakers and 01 no bus coupler breaker.
# GA drawings, electrical drawings and detailed technical specifications of both MCC-1&2 are
attached with tender documents. In case of any doubt or for more details, bidder may visit our
plant.
# The scope of work consists of two parts as mentioned below-
Part -A (Supply of material)
a. Supply of MCC # 1&2 Switchboards complete in all respects
b. Supply of other accessories such as cable glands, lug, ferrules, welding rods, T&P etc.
whenever required.
Part- B (Dismantling, Erection & Commissioning work)
a. Dismantling of old MCC # 1&2
b. Erection of New switchboards for MCC # 1&2
c. Cable terminations
d. Testing & commissioning of MCC # 1&2
# Agency has to arrange all material including cement and steel, T&P, labour etc to carry out
at his own cost. Unloading, shifting and custody of the materials will be done by party until total
package is handed over to NTPC after complete erection, commissioning, testing, normal running
of the total system.
# All erection work, commissioning work etc has to be completed by the party as per SOW,
NTPC approved documents and instruction of NTPC in all cases decision of NTPC will be final.
# Pre-commissioning tests if required to be done by the party.
# Defect liability period - will be of 12 months from the date of commissioning of last
Vacuum contactor. Contractor has to arrange for rectification of defect if any within 4 days during
this defect liability period.
# Completion period - Should be 12 months from the date of award of the contract.
# QUALITY ASSURANCE: The vendor has to strictly adhere to manufacturing / field quality
plan as approved by NTPC
# Qualifying Requirements: Eligibility of bidder for quoting of subject proposal is subjected
to qualification against approved qualifying requirements of NTPC.
# Others terms & conditions which are not covered above will be as per our GCC. .
