8.0 Qualification Requirements for Bidders
1.0 Qualification Requirements for Bidders
The bidders who wish to participate in the bidding shall satisfactorily establish that they fulfill the
following Qualifying Requirements.
1.1 Bidder should either be a Company registered under the Companies Act, 1956 or a
Partnership/Proprietorship Firm.
1.2 The Bidder should have executed/completed civil works as per following criterion within the
preceding seven (7) years from the Date of Techno-Commercial Bid opening.
(i) Single Contract of value not less than Rs. 23.88 Lacs (80% of Estimated Cost)
OR
(ii) Two Contracts of value not less than Rs. 14.92 Lacs each (50% of Estimated Cost)
OR
(iii) Three Contracts of value not less than Rs. 11.94 Lacs each (40% of estimated Cost)
Note : Executed work Means: Value of actual executed portion of a Contract and not the total
Contract value. In case of a Contract under execution as on the date of Techno-Commercial Bid
opening, the actual executed portion of the contract till the date of Techno-Commercial Bid
opening duly certified by Owner shall be considered.
1.3 Financial Criteria :
1.3.1 The Average annual Turnover of the bidder in the preceding three (03) Financial Years as
on the date of Techno-Commercial Bid opening shall not be less than Rs. 29.85 Lacs.
1.3.2 In case where audited results for the last financial year as on the date of Techno
commercial bid opening are not available, the financial results certified by a practicing Chartered
Accountant shall be considered acceptable. In case, Bidder in not able to submit the Certificate
from practicing Chartered Accountant certifying its financial parameters, the audited results of
three consecutive financial years preceding the last financial year shall be considered for
evaluation the financial parameters.
Note: Other Income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover.
1.4 Bidders should have a valid provident fund Code number (PF), PAN and GST Registration
Number.
1.5 Bidders should have ESIC registration.
1.6 Notwithstanding anything stated above, the Employer reserves the right to assess the
Capabilities and Capacity of the bidder to perform the contract, should the circumstances
warrant such assessment in the overall interest of the employer.
9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the Invitation for Bids
without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder /intending bidder shall
have any claim arising out of such action.
