INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
For
Supply of Limestone for Flue Gas De-Sulphurisation Plant in Phase-I Units (3×800 MW) at PVUNL
Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited(PVUNL)-a Joint Venture Company amongst NTPC Limited and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) , Govt. of Jharkhand (GoJ) , has proposed to set up Patratu Super Thermal Power Plant of Phase –I (3×800 MW) in the existing plant premises of Patratu Super Thermal Power Station which is located just outside the coal belt of South Karanpura in Ramgarh District of Jharkhand State. The nearest Railway Station is Patratu which is at a distance of about 4 km on Barkakhana –Barwadih Railway Line.
PVUNL invites “ Expression of Interest(EOI) ” for shortlisting of agencies towards enlistment for supply of limestone of the order of 1550 Tons/day with purity greater than 90% as CaCO3. The agency is required to submit details along with limestone physical and chemical characteristics as per format to be obtained from the authorized PVUNL official as stated under.
Interested parties are requested to refer the terms and conditions of the EOI and submit their EOI. The details may be submitted in sealed envelopes as per the format obtained from PVUNL. It may be noted that submission of EOI does not in any way constitute any kind of commitment on the part of PVUNL.

Terms and Conditions
1.The scope of EOI is for supply of limestone of the order of 1550 Tons/day with purity greater than 90% for the requirement of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Unit of proposed Patratu Super Thermal Power Project Phase – I (3X800MW).
2.The interested parties should be able to supply limestone as per required quantity and quality.
3.The interested parties/agencies shall make their own arrangement for transportation of limestone.
4.PVUNL reserves the right to assess the capability of the applicant and viability of proposal, based on verification of documents and if required, cross verification for enlistment of the capable applicant(s).
5.Interested parties/agencies shall ensure proper care and constant vigil of transportation activities and shall not cause any damages to any existing properties, which may result in Environmental hazards in the nearby area.
6.Interested parties/agencies shall have to abide by the guidelines of the Central Government/State Government and ensure compliance.
7.All safety norms to be followed while handling, transportation and unloading of limestone.
8.All possible measures would have to be taken by the agency to avoid pollution, while transporting.No spillage of limestone would be permitted.
9.If the process adopted by the agency is not as per above terms and conditions, PVUNL shall have the right to stop supply of limestone.
