Subject	:	QR for inspection of Boiler Bank tubes by IRIS method.
Reference	:	PR No.200060003 dated 27.10.2015.

1.Brief scope of work : Boiler Bank Tubes of Stage I are arranged in rows (23 nos.) and columns (65 nos.) with poor accessibility / no accessibility for tube thickness measurement through conventional method. Present proposal is for inspection of tubes (60.3 mm OD X 4.5 mm thick with swage at both ends) by IRIS method (internal rotating inspection system) in which entire length of tube (barring bend portion) is scanned and minimum wall thickness is obtained for each tube.

2.Proposed QR :

(a)The agency must have the required technology & expertise to conduct IRIS in boiler bank tubes and interpret the results. In case of new entrant to TTPS, documentary evidence for the tests conducted may be furnished & if required, the agency may have to demonstrate the test at site free of cost before placement of PO.

(b)The bidder must have executed similar work of value.

i.	> 24,31,533.00 in case of single order.	-	(80% of EC)
ii.	>15,19,708.00 in case of two orders each .	-	(50% of EC)
iii.	>12,15,766.00 in case of three orders each.	-	(40% of EC)

Similar work means, on line thickness measurement by IRIS method of tubes all along the entire length “barring the areas where technical limits are there” & the agency should have the capability to inspect at least 500 tubes per day. Documentary evidence to be submitted in this regards.

3.Basis of QR : QR is based on the technique adopted in measurement of tube thickness in boiler bank tube at TTPS.

4.The Average Annual Turnover of the bidder in the preceding three financial years as on the last date of

submission of application shall not be less than INR 20,26,277.00 i.e.  {TO = EC x (12/CP) = Rs.30,39,416.00 x (12/18)} .
