Procurement of Gearbox for 8.5 E9 Mill Ball & Race type Mills at Talcher Thermal

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

1.0BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:

Procurement of Gearbox for 8.5 E9 Mill Ball & Race type Mills at Talcher Thermal.

COMPLETION PERIOD: 6 Months

2.0 The bidders who wish to participate in the bidding shall satisfactorily establish that they fulfill the following requirements.

2.1.PROPOSED QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:

(i)The bidder must be a regular manufacturer of coal mill gearbox of 200 KW or above.

OR

The bidder should be the authorized Indian supplier of the manufacturer of coal mill gear box of 200 KW or above.

(ii)The bidder must have successfully executed orders for supply of gear boxes for coal mills to at least two coal fired units, each of 60 MW or higher capacity, located at two different power stations and at least one mill gearbox must have completed successful operation for at least two years as on the date of bid opening.

2.2	The bidder should have	successfully executed similar orders during the last 07(seven) years reckoned as on the date
of	bid opening with either of	the following:-

i.Value of at least Rs 76.80 Lacs for single similar order,

OR

ii.Value of at least Rs 48.00 Lacs each for two similar orders,

OR

iii.Value of at least Rs 38.40 Lacs each for three similar orders

Similar order(s) would mean the bidder should have successfully executed the supply of gear boxes for coal mills to at least two coal fired units, each of 60 MW or higher capacity, located at two different power stations and at least one mill gearbox must have completed successful operation for at least two years as on the date of bid opening.

3.0	FINANCIAL CRITERIA:
AVERAGE ANNUAL TURNOVER (ATO): The average annual turnover of the bidder				in	the	preceding		three	(3)
financial years as on the date		of bid opening	shall not be less than Rs. 192.00 Lacs	(Rupees		One	hundred Ninety
Two Lac only).
4.0	Notes:
i) The work #executed# means that the bidder			should have achieved the specified QR at	Para 2.2 even if total contract
is not completed. In case of order under			execution, the value of work executed	till	the	date	of	opening	of
Techno-Commercial Proposal as		certified by the	bidder shall be considered.

ii)The bidder has to produce necessary proof of the orders executed.

iii)Other income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover as specified in QR Para 3.0.

iv)	In case,	where audited results	for the last preceding financial year are not available, certification of financial
statements from		a practicing Chartered	Accountant shall also be considered acceptable.

v)Notwithstanding anything stated above, NTPC reserves the right to assess the bidder#s capability & capacity of the bidder to perform the contract, should circumstances warrant such assessment in the overall interest of the NTPC Ltd.

vi)The employer also reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/ withdraw the invitation for bids without

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/ intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.

5.0ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:-

The following information is also required from the bidders about the companies where similar orders have been executed.

I.Name of the customer/ company where similar order has been executed.

II. Year of execution.

III.Name & designation (Phone No. / Fax No. / email-id) of contact person of the customer.

8.0 Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.
