1.EMD for an amount of Rs.4,76,000.00 & Letter of Undertaking (Format available as
2.Price bid will be opened later on after evaluation of QR & Technical bids. Price bid opening date will be informed to technically suitable/Qualified bidders separately through email/Fax.
3.Bidders have to submit documentary proof in support of meeting the qualifying requirement. Proof is required in the form of copies of Purchase Orders along with their execution proof like invoice copy/GR copy etc. & Balance Sheet / Profit & Loss Account etc. Submission, of all required documents and duly filled formats
4.Technical & Commercial offer should be in line with our Bill of Materials
5.It is mandatory to indicate your TIN no. and PAN no, while submitting your offer/quotation.
6.No deviation in the "General Purchase Conditions" (GPC) of NTPC will be allowed. In case bidder does not agree GPC of NTPC, their offer might not be considered.
7.BHEL is exempted from submission of EMD in view of standing EMD already submitted.
8.Technical Bid must be up loaded in "C" folder only. Price bid should be in price schedule.
9.Please confirm the validity of price for 180 days from the date of opening of
10.Reverse Auction shall be done in this case.

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.
7.0 Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:
9.0 Qualifying Requirements :
1.1) The bidder should be a regular manufacturer of vertical type coal pulverizers and should have supplied such coal pulverizers to at least two (02) nos. coal fired units each of 200 MW or higher capacity, located at two different power stations and which are in successful operation for at least two years, as on the date of bid opening with the same type of grinding elements*( Centrifugally cast
OR
1.2(a) The bidder should be a manufacturer of the type of grinding elements*( Centrifugally Cast
AND
1.2 (b) The bidder should either himself or through a company/agency in which he has controlling stake, own following manufacturing and testing facilities for use by the bidder for manufacturing of Grinding Elements* (bidder to furnish proof of ownership of the facilities along with his bid).
Manufacturing facilities :
i. Induction/Cupola/Induction arc furnace for melting iron 1.0 ton and above.
ii. Centrifugal casting machine to accommodate grinding rolls over 2500 Kg (in case bidder is offering
iii. Machining facility for inside bore.
Testing facilities:
i.Chemical composition testing
ii.Magnetic particle testing machine
iii.Hardness testing
iv.Ultrasonic testing machine to check tread to core bond
v.Micro structure testing
vi.Ultrasonic machine to check tread thickness
vii.Inside micrometers to check inside taper measurements
viii.Spectometer/spectrogram
ix.Check Bowl/Test Bowl to check the Bull Ring Segment of

1.3) The bidder should be a manufacturer of grinding elements* for vertical type coal pulverizers and should have supplied at least fifty (50) nos. grinding rolls and 17 sets of Bullring Segments for vertical type coal pulverizers and should have an ongoing collaboration/licence agreement with a manufacturer who meets the qualifying requirements as stipulated at clause 1.2(a) above. In such a case bidder, along with his collaborator should furnish a deed of joint undertaking (DJU) for successful performance of the grinding elements* offered by him. Further, bidder should have manufacturing and testing facilities as per para 1.2(b) above and shall offer only the type of grinding rolls (i.e. centrifugally cast
2) The bidder should have executed the supply of #Vertical type coal pulverizers# or #Grinding Elements* for Coal Mills# during last seven (07) years as on the date of bid opening, as any one of the following :
Three executed/completed orders as above, valued not less than Rs. 95 lakhs each.
OR
Two executed/completed orders as above, valued not less than Rs.119 lakhs each.
OR
One executed/completed order as above, valued not less than Rs.190 lakhs each.
*Grinding Elements means bull ring segments and grinding rolls
3. The average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three (03) completed financial years as on the date of bid opening shall not be less than Rs.317 lakhs
NOTE :
1.The bidder is requested to clearly stipulate hereunder the route under which the qualification is being sought. Bidder is also required to submit along with the bid all necessary documents to establish bidder#s qualification.
2.Other income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover.
3.In case where audited results for the last preceding financial year is not available, certification of financial statements from a practicing chartered accountant shall also be considered acceptable.
4. Notwithstanding anything stated above, the employer reserves the right to assess the capabilities of the bidder/his collaborators/associates/ subsidiaries/group companies to perform the contract should the circumstances warrant such an assessment in the overall interest of the employer.
8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.
9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
