Sub: EOI for Operation of Brick Plant and & Marketing of fly ash bricks and other Fly ash based products.

Mouda Super Thermal Power project Mouda 2 x 500 MW operational and 2x660 MW under construction , is having 3 brick machines of 1440 bricks /Hr/machine/8 hr capacity in its premises for manufacturing of Fly Ash bricks. We are interested for appointing agency who will operate brick machine with full utilisation of its capacity and marketing of NTPC brand bricks in open market with good marketing network, delivery arrangements, financially strong on following terms and conditions:

1. Should be in ash business from last 3 years.

2. Experience of ash based product trading, transportation, handling etc in various plants includes State Electricity Board, NTPC, Private in 3 states or more will be preferable.

3. Minimum turnover of Rs.1.00 Crore in last 3 years.

4. Having Rs.1.00 crore working capital for this purpose only.

5. Ash Brick to conform IS 12894-2002

Scope of work

1. Operation of fly ash brick manufacturing machine.

2. Marketing and sale of fly ash brick in open market.

3. Quality b rick making conforming to IS 12843:2002

4. Transportation of Pond ash , Dry Fly ash from SILO or Ash pond from the available road.

5. Proper Advertisement to promote NTPC Branded bricks in market.

6. Investing of working capital for sailing of bricks in market on cash & Credit.

7. Training and developing of PAPs working in brick plant.

8. Transportation of Bricks to Market.

9. Raw Materials be arranged by the agency

• OPC Cement of ISI brand,

• Sand,

• Class C hydrated lime conforming to IS 712

• Transportation of fly ash from Silo or from ash pond to brick plant

10. Maintenance of Machines involved in Brick manufacturing needs to be carried out by agency by qualified and trained staff and spares to be procured from OEM .

Security Deposit: Bank Guarantee for Rs 5 lacs shall be submitted by the agency in favour of NTPC Ltd.

Contact Period : 03 years and can be extended on mutual consent.

Cost of Material:

Agency to pay a fix amount per brick on account of usages of power , water ,machine depreciation ,interest on investment and other charges as per the calculation and costing of NTPC and will be reviewed and revised at a agreed fixed intervals.

Insurance: Agency to arrange insurance for Labour and staff working for Brick Plant.

Taxes: Taxes as applicable will be borne by agency.

Payment of Brick: Agency to pay agreed charges to NTPC before lifting bricks.

Fly Ash Brick sale to NTPC: Agency to supply bricks to NTPC on as per L1 basis or Last accepted rate.

Labour Law: Agency to follow all rules of NTPC and Labour Act as applicable.

Safety: - Agency will abide by all safety requirement and will provide PPE and safeguarding the machines.

Any changes in terms and condition will be informed as when required by the NTPC Mouda.
