3.0 Scope of Work:

The brief scope of the consultancy assignment shall be following:

•Identify high value added products that can be manufactured/ extracted with the fly ash/bottom ash available at Dadri Coal Power Station of NTPC Limited.

•Identify Existing as well as future market potential of high value added ash based products in India and competition in the market.

•Carryout Techno-economic evaluation of various products with regard to market potential in India.

•Provide Case studies of existence of such manufacturing units in India and abroad & commercial level manufacturing.

•Suggest national/ international technology tie-ups or partners available for manufacturing of these products.

•Furnish Investment requirements for setting up an optimal size plant for shortlisted products.

•Financial analysis covering cost of products, commercial viability and relative competitiveness in the market.

•Suggest branding/ marketing strategies for the viable products.

•Other infrastructure requirements along the supply value chain.

•Feasibility report /DPR for setting up units(s) for manufacturing of the products(s) to be approved by the NTPC management.

4.0Consultant Requirement

Consultant who is submitting EOI shall have carried out such study /consultation assignment for high value added ash based products for at least one reputed organization/ thermal power plant. The relevant details on above have to be submitted by the consultant in the application form. (Annexure -I) along with all enclosures & supporting documents indicated.

Further any information/data furnished by the applicants found to be incorrect or false or misleading at any point of time would render them liable to be debarred from the short listing process subject to further action as deemed fit by NTPC Limited.

All the expenditure incurred by applicants for discussion with NTPC –Dadri as required, shall be borne by applicants themselves.

During the period that the applications are under consideration, the applicant is advised to refrain from contacting by any means, the employer and / or his employees/representatives on matters related to the application under consideration. Any effort by an applicant to influence the evaluation of application may result in the rejection of the Applicant's application.

Notwithstanding anything stated above, NTPC Limited, NCPS-Dadri reserves the right to assess the capabilities, capacity & performance of the consultant / Consulting Organisation, should the circumstances warrant such assessment.

NTPC NCPS-Dadri reserves the right to accept or reject any application, and to annul the EOI process and reject all applications at any time without incurring any liability, to the affected Applicant(s) or any obligation to inform the Applicant(s) of the grounds for this action.

05SELECTION PROCESS

•Those interested shall submit their EOI, along with required information as mentioned at point no. 4.0

•Based on detail received and further discussions, NTPC shall short list the consultants / consulting organizations who have relevant experience, technical capability, manpower & strength to undertake the subject work

• The Short listed applicants shall be asked to submit their price bid in line with TOR and other documents that shall be provided by NTPC . The weightage for various parameters for evaluation shall be informed to shortlisted applicants while seeking price bid .
